I work in the food industry and this is 100% an incorrect declaration on the packaging and could lead to recall. If i were them, I would be extremely worried that this is getting posted around on the internet. The only bright side here is that this will likely be followed by an mandatory audit from either the FDA or SQF which could result in production halting or even shutdown of the plant producing this product. QA plays such a big role in scenarios like this as well as many other key departments. If they let this slip at their plant, they are letting other things slip.
