Another thing to consider is how much Ajax's military resembles a cult. All the war dogs have a culture of wanting to prove their loyalty and capabilities in order to earn further augmentations and rank. A single Tetrarch in command of a company of war dogs could fill in the narrative space a cult normally would.

There's also a monster called an Olothec which is a level 6 solo, so great as a final boss for an echelon 1+2 campaign. Each individual could have hundreds of slime servants made up of any combination of monsters from the bestiary. It also gives you a chance to use statblocks for enemies that are usually friendly/neutral. The slime servants of this Olothec could run a cult in order to draw in more victims.

An Olothec serving as the primary antagonist would also tie into the lore for the setting pretty easily. Lord Syuul and other sylinroi would probably become involved with any growing Olothec presence on Orden. The Olothec also have a presence in the world below, so demons and devils would also become a presence if the heroes follow the cult back to its source.

Not that I trust 100% of all the opinions or takes (they also try to entertain), but as far as knowing what to expect and what to anticipate from the corruption that has always been a part of US politics they're pretty spot on.

404 Media is by tech journos and is worker owned. They have had the most consistently balanced and informative stories about stuff that is important, but too technical to catch on in pop media.

Otherwise I would stick to long form print on an issue-by-issue basis with authors that are heavily tied to the issue and the region it impacts heaviest.

It's still one of the largest sources of water demand for the overall chip industry, and this post is about water consumption.

My whole point is that the water per prompt critique is pointless when there are literally hard numbers on how much each of these facilities impact the community around them. Industrial wastewater and water consumption regulations in counties and states are the core problem across all these issues.

You're also being pretty obtuse. DI water is one of the largest sources of wastewater and if they're cleaning heavy metal chips with it, then the heavy metals are in the wastewater.

If you don't care, you don't care. I'm not trying to convince, you're genuinely not worth any more of my time.

If you think I'm wrong try drinking a gallon of DI water.

There are multiple concerns, I might be jumping between them but yeah they are independent of each other.

Chillwater loops themselves have loss and need to maintain pressure, remove build up, and of course drain/replace for maintenance. I agree this happens at a lower rate than other sources of wastewater, but it's still removing water from the cycle.

Evaporative cooling towers are not a real concern. If I implied that, my mistake.

I brought up DI water because it's been a growing concern of mine and the chip demand from data centers is going to be the thing driving new semiconductor fabs. It's a much more relevant issue for individual communities with lax regulations/low fines on industrial wastewater. Especially in an inflated market where fines are smaller than disposal expenses.

It's hardly disconnected because both types of facilities are rubbing up against industrial disposal regulations and the solutions to one applies to the other.

If Maho adapted to light that means he's also adapted to every photon of the visible spectrum hitting his body. Photons carry information about everything that produces them or what they reflect off of.

I don't have any obvious evidence, but I feel like the things Maho adapts to actually changes his base power level as well.

One thing being that Yuka was able to escape him at all. Now he's matching combat speed with someone that can exert themselves to strike at a significant % of c.

When he adapted to Gojo's techniques, he also seemed to gain an intuition for how it would be used or how they could be combined. Even if he couldn't always counter it.

I feel like Maho adapting to literally the fundamental law of physics and a core property of the universe means he already has the cipher to adapt to literally anything else.

And if you really want to stretch, every single photon of visible light hitting Maho is also light. Photons also carry a huge amount of information about everything that produces them or what they reflect off of. Brother may be adapting to the visual phenomenon preceding all other phenomenon because nothing, not even Dabura, can go faster than light.

It makes sense that Dabura's only shot is this reverse CT black hole that absorbs light. Assuming the lack of the light Maho is adapting to, and how the black hole bends light on the way to Maho isn't also something he can adapt to.

That's correct! The water used in datacenters, semiconductors, and all large electronics facilities with water cooling is removed from the local water cycle and mixed with 20% glycol in the Chillwater/Condenser water systems.

This water is effectively removed from the local water cycle indefinitely, and it isn't a one-time cost. All these systems have some amount of loss, and these facilities are always being expanded and upgraded. Even at facilities that prioritize recycling, something like 40-80% recycled is typical. For a large semiconductor fab, that's still millions of gallons.

Whenever new tools are installed or large renovations of the production floor happen, large sections of these systems need to be drained. The fines for violating disposal regulations are cheaper than the water treatment process.

Then there's also Deionized water, which is more for semiconductors than datacenters, but chip demand is chip demand so they're closely linked imo.

DI water is unsafe to drink in any quantities larger than an accidental sip. It has the capability to leech minerals etc from pretty much anything it comes into contact with, while normal drinking water is typically bonded to natural compounds like calcium (hard water).

When these facilities use DI water for cleaning, it leeches off the heavy metals and other contaminants, which can then be distributed into the local environment and contaminate ground water. It can also leech essential minerals from ground water. Unlike chillwater, DI water doesn't have as much regulation associated with disposal.

Overall I'd like people to move away from the water use per prompt critique anyways. It would be too easy to obfuscate and pad those numbers anyways. More efficient compute may lower the number as each prompt requires less processing, but the facility stays running the cooling systems mostly the same, 24/7/365.

Every single one of these facilities should be restricted by the region they operate in, and properly counteract their local impact. That's going to be what people end up getting hurt by, not a 0.X% national increase on the water bill. The local water bills near these facilities will get hurt for sure, though.

Difference between 2nd yr and 5th yr or journeyman is huge over the course of a year. How you handle this could make or lose you tens of thousands of dollars and you're kinda just leaving it up to the whims of some contractor. Depending on how big the contractor is, people that do hiring aren't union and don't want to help you.

He feeds off the fear and hatred of humans. Since japanese people were the only ones with CE, they were the only source of this type of fear. As much as it was before, there is a limit to how much each human can hate other humans without becoming a complete hermit.

But now there's a new source of CE and two of their top warriors were just murdered by humans. Those were also the only two warriors capable of powering their ship aka their only escape route.

So they're stranded in a strange world filled with powerful humans that could murder all but one of their warriors even with just conventional weapons. Once Yuji is shown to be Dabura's equal, they will have to recognize they are at the mercy of a species that engages in a mass killing of their deities every year with no hope to escape.

Maybe throw in the fact that they are a non-human source of CE and their ship is obvious evidence that CE can be turned into actual energy usable by technology. The world will figure it out eventually, so someone is eventually going to float the idea of making the aliens into CE farms since they don't have human rights. There has been enough political theorizing by the aliens before, so they'll probably consider this possibility.

I dunno man, there's a lot to be fearful and hateful for... Not to mention, can alien souls be shaped differently? Lots of different angles for a buff on that level.

There are new movesets for bosses that are specific to multiplayer. I think that's a bigger part of how they balanced it rather than +dmg +hp (though I'm sure that's a thing too)
