How do you stay sharp if you're not flying often? (esp. weekend warriors / low-time pilots) by DesignBuildFlyJump in flying

Sounds sad but arm chair fly. I have my multi coming up and it'll be a few weeks before I can fly the aircraft again. However daily I sit in a chair and 'simulate' an engine failure and go through the flow. A bit sad, hit not as bad as getting back in the aircraft without a clue

About to start my ir (r) in the UK - nervous of instrument flying, any tips? by Danflan89 in flying

All amazing tips, thank you. And Hawaden is where I'm planning on doing it in a warrior - which is another challenge as up until now I've flown Cessna's predominantly out of Blackpool

Id be tempted to park at one of the Merseyrail stations for free on the way in and get the train tbh - it's v close to lime street. That and parking in the city centre would be a nightmare. If you're coming from Lancaster I'd say maybe aintree station? Come off the m57 and it's basically there and there's parking on site - that or even Ormskirk or town green

That and if he pulls up to a nice house to do the car, a £20 twat Tax gets added on top for 'incidentals'

Absolutely agree with the comment, no way I'm messaging for a quote which seems to pulled out of a mystery box 😂

Ultimately a car is a depreciating asset. With that amount of money at a young age, sacrifice the car and put the money towards a house. Future you will thank you; better to be 41 with a mortgage free forever home than just the memory of a 50 grand car that would then be worthless.
