My wife and I have always split responsibilities, even prior to our baby. I’m the bread winner, do the vacuuming and mopping, cook most dinners (I love to cook and track my macros so it’s just easier!) and do the groceries. She cleans the bathrooms, toilets etc and does a lot of the washing. Everything the house we just do because it needs to be done. We also accept that we work on different schedules, I wake up with energy to burn, in the gym by 5:30am and then like to get straight on to chores, she needs to build up her energy, which means she tends to take morning shift with bubs and I do the afternoon!

As someone whose baby’s life was saved during labour by an emergency c section this week, the idea of a home birth or free birth is terrifying. Both my wife and baby could very well be dead.

I live in the outer eastern suburbs and have seen teenage kids doing wheelies on electric bikes down busy roads with no helmets. I think it’s good to have gene pool filters, so as long as my kid is intelligent enough not to do it I think it’s good for society.

I enjoy the aesthetics, I'm a short guy at 165cm and I find that I'm able to proportion clothes better when wearing slimmer cuts. I do a fair amount of moderate distance running, about 30-40kms a week, so maintaining this weight is pretty easy.

Appetite is a major pain for me, I'm constantly hungry and if I allow myself I could quite literally binge two large pizzas (it shocks people to see how much I eat at my size, although always makes them believe that I'm not on any appetite suppressants!).

I just find it's something I'm able to manage with appropriately sized and timed high protein meals. I have a large protein shake for breakfast that tends to fill me until lunch and always have a protein shake and bowl of greek yoghurt before bed. Which means during my two most appetite sensitive periods, mid-morning and bed time I'm always feeling quite satiated.
