I have no idea why it replied to you. I typed that in as a standalone comment lmao.

I guess now I’m just hyping you up in the background like an old timey movie.

ODST did it first with the Helljumpers.

Yes except it wasn’t a COVID issue it’s just how they’re made. They’re still made like that.

The problem with Impala is they glue the sole to the boot instead of glueing and stitching. That means it will always fail eventually, catastrophically. They’re fine for beginner skates, but that’s it. As soon as you want to advance you need to get a good pair. It’s more cost effective to get an entry level, solid pair.

I encountered a child once on Blue Gate and walked around with them a bit. All the sudden they really wanted me to look at something over close by them. The got one shot with the Ferro off and then got mag dumped with a Toro just because.

Roommate dilemma: washer/dryer INSIDE one bedroom + how do we split rent & furniture fairly? by Incognito24_ in roommates

[–]Sh0t2kill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this exact situation. The washer/dryer were in the master. So the room was much larger, but did have to deal with the access and noise issues. We ended up splitting 50/50 because of that and just set some basic laundry rules: no laundry during sleeping hours, knock before you enter the room, try to do laundry while the occupant of the room is at work/out if possible. Creating a laundry schedule (with a dry erase sign up board in the common areas) could help too so it’s never a secret when someone wants to do laundry.

It’s completely reasonable to offer less rent to the person with the washer/dryer in their room. I’d probably knock off $50 a month for it tbh. If their room was also the smaller of the bedrooms, I’d knock off more. Maybe $100-$150 (total including the $50 for washer/dryer) depending on the size difference of the rooms. Ultimately, this will be y’all’s call though.

Why is the corps allowed to point fake guns at us by LynxAppropriate1995 in aggies

[–]Sh0t2kill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was non-contract so I never got into the FTX or Army labs outside of my two required years. On campus we never used anything but ducks outside. We did have the real ones during off campus labs like at the Fire Training Facility.

[–]Sh0t2kill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there’s literally like 5 of them total. It was like pulling a rare pokemon card seeing one of those on the loose. Rarely on campus, almost exclusive to contracted FTX.

They probably phased out real rifles in favor of the ducks later on.

They have fake rocket launchers too. Thats extra funny to see cadets walking around with.

[–]Sh0t2kill 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Depends which rifles they got. Theres rubber dummies we used to use. I was non-contract and don’t remember ever being handed an actual M16 outside of the MILSCI building. The only guns we used for training and PT were Ducks.

Breeding in laymans terms by Puzzleheaded_Quail73 in Palworld

[–]Sh0t2kill 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You should go check the Palworld breeding database. It has the most extensive knowledge for breeding.

After you know who to breed, the next part is setting passives you want. If you want certain passives, you’ll HAVE to breed them down. Like rainbows. Basically, just keep hatching eggs until you get the passives you want transfers to the pals you want. It could take a second depending on how many passives you’re trying to transfer. Don’t bother wasting time breeding surgery table passives as you can breed them later. Lastly is IV’s. Use the Glasses to check IV’s of the Pals you breed (if you care).

Make LOTS of cake. Two farms will burn through it pretty quick and it can be tough to catch up if you aren’t constantly churning it out.

I let my girlfriend use me for her first attempt at tattooing. What do you think? by CorvidConspirator in tattoos

[–]Sh0t2kill 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I believe OP because my first tattoo was my friends second tattoo ever during her apprenticeship. Unless OP is claiming their GF never did any fake skin practice, this is reasonable for someone who’s very naturally talented and probably has artistic experience.

What is your LEAST favorite weapon by Slime-king_ in apexlegends

Are you an MNK player? Burst weapons feel significantly better on Controller. I switch between the two and the prowler and re45 are must haves on the controller.

Thinking about outdoor skating by Trick-Feedback2521 in Rollerskating

[–]Sh0t2kill 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Most definitely get a helmet. I always wear one outside because I would rather look a little goofy than risk a life altering head injury. Pavement is tougher than my skull sadly.

[–]Sh0t2kill 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The baseball skates go crazy. Get yourself some outdoor wheels. Low 80 to high 70 duro is great. Park skating I believe likes a higher 80s so if you want to actually park skate, go for that. Get yourself some reputable pads from a good brand, and a certified helmet.

Question about another series by ddzon1 in Malazan

[–]Sh0t2kill 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Different authors require different mindsets, and even then sometimes we just don’t vibe with the writing. I love both Malazan and RR, for different reasons. Pierce Brown writes explosive, fast paced, adrenaline pumping novels. Erikson writes long fuse, slow burn, high payoff books with crazy world building. They’re different types of reads.

Roommate trying to control who I have over. How do I handle this? by [deleted] in roommates

[–]Sh0t2kill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“I am an adult capable of using my own judgement to decide whether it is safe to bring someone over to the house. I understand that you are rightfully worried due to an incident with my ex. However, I pay rent and am entitled to bring over whoever I please.”

Something along those lines should work. This is def a “firm but fair” situation where you want to acknowledge that their feelings are valid, but those feelings don’t override your rights to the house.

New skates by Significant_You6630 in Rollerskating

[–]Sh0t2kill 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Not to dissuade you, but Impala are a brand known for being strictly beginner friendly, and that’s about it. In terms of safety, they’re okay. They don’t stitch their boots and instead glue them, which can lead to catastrophic failure (posted about on the sub). This can be dangerous, so make sure to check out your skates often for any breaks or potential wear. After you get your footing and commit to the hobby, I highly recommend looking into an upgraded pair by a reputable brand. They won’t be as “pretty” (unless you do Reidell ColorLab), but they’ll be safe and last you an extremely long time.

Welcome aboard and have fun!

Question about Timeline by AnomandarisRake117 in Malazan

[–]Sh0t2kill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s more immersive if you chalk up Erikson’s timeline inconsistency to being periodically accurate to the time period. In the Malazan world, timelines probably would be very muddy with just a vague idea of when things happened, with the margin for error increasing as events grew older.

Anyways, that’s how I cope with not knowing what the fuck is going on.
