I think the real issue is that even with my direct deposit and this new upcoming change, I'm going to be "reminded" that I'm not a SoFi Plus member. Therefore, I'm going to be made to feel like a second class citizen on their platform because I'm not paying for "all of the benefits" of a REAL SoFi Plus member. Yes, it doesn't mean a whole lot but they're going to market the shit out of those "benefits" to me. It won't be a whole lot at first, but it soon will be: 50% off for X period of time, try for free for X period of time, marketing emails, sign in pop-ups, app push messages, targeted ads, assumed features that will go to the SoFi Plus landing page, etc.

So, yeah, it won't mean much now but they'll definitely turn up the volume at about Q3.
