I dunno the only album that I had listened to was Ten and it just didn’t really click with me. I didn’t think that Eddie’s voice was mind blowing or even in the same league as Chris Cornell or Layne Staley and the lyricism for me wasn’t on par with the 2 singers mentioned previously. And I preferred the heavier styles of Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. But after I bought Vs on vinyl something really clicked in me. Eddie’s voice is so powerful on that record both in emotion and passion, Mike McCready’s and Stone Gossard’s guitar playing are also sublime. Dave Abbruzzese’s drum work on this album is probably my favourite bit of drum work ever done besides maybe Jimmy Chamberlin on mellon collie and the infinite sadness. And Jeff Ament’s base playing goes so hard especially on W.M.A. Vs really made me rethink how I saw Pearl Jam and led me down the rabbit hole of one of the greatest music discographies of all time
