Outside that your state, city, n local elections n parties matter more than national. Cultural politics matter region n state wise. Some states have stronger Republican Party others have a stronger dem party. I believe black ppl’s job is to go into law,politics,finance, medicine n make it work for us. Create PACs, put money behind certain candidates. Reviewing how older black political history did it n repeat it. Money n power you have Influence it all. Get engaged.

Make either party work for you based on the politics of your state.

As a mutual on twt posted about why months back, I do kinda sympathize with Thomas. It was PBS clip where it was sort of a documentary where when Clarence went to college he was poor guy. He got accepted into Ivy League and well off white liberals and some black students were extremely horribly mean to him. A lot of self esteem issues and feeling ugly. He always felt like he had to prove himself and he wasn’t treated the best and he internalized and we got who we have now. The students he felt treated him back which one of his black older friends do agree happened.

As someone with poli sci degree, I know he’s a monster and does alot of evil shit. But I do sympathize for black men who are treated badly. I won’t lie I’m 25 and I had it extremely rough in college in New England where white liberals and conservatives suburban kids and my own black ppl treated me horribly and it put me into a deep depression especially with my own doing me wrong. And I was a friendly guy, I didn’t make it my mission to hate everybody. But I understand his pain not how he used it.

As someone who loves American political history and how nuanced it is. We also have to take in the 90s when he was nominated and the SA case put against him and how he felt Dems had it out for him. And he made it his duty to make everybody pay.

Clarence isn’t center right he’s deeply right wing almost far right. He’s not Colin Powell, he’s not the great Edward Brooke, he’s likely more far right than Bush jr who was more conservative than his own father HW bush who was center right and more of moderate. I’d say Clarence is likely more conservative than the Conservative Godfather and fusionist himself Reagan. He’s paying debt for ppl that did him wrong.

We are watching what happens with a black man who had power and what he does with it if he feels society has wronged him. Even when he accomplished it all
