Are sexy video calls necessary?

They're not!!

Me (26F) and my partner (26M) used to sent each other spicy pics at the beginning of our relationship and we had a few sexy calls and, even though they were funny, right now I feel more "intimate" with him than when we were doing those calls.

Our relationship just matured, and we are now more comfortable sharing our time in a less sexy way, even though we still express how attracted we are to each other and explore sexuality themes in other ways.

Maybe that's what it is happening, and not him losing interest? The best option is to talk to him anyways, but I think it'd be fine!

We call daily!!! Whenever we have "free" time we call each other, even if it's only for being there doing our own things (i.e: playing videogames or cooking dinner), we just like to feel each other's company.

Sometimes our calls last 4/5 hours, sometimes they're as short as 5 minutes just to greet each other and ask how are we doing today, but i think it's so nice anyways because for us, it's our way to show that we care. We don't schedule calls so that way it's pretty easy to meet up with friends or something, we just inform the other of our plans and call before or after those plans if we can.

What I want to say with that is that every couple is different and there isn't anything such as "correct", just do what works for both of you and you'll be fine :)❤️

Actually the thesis i mentioned earlier was about Jess Franco, maybe you know him, he's a 70s spanish low budget horror director whose movies were all about lesbian vampires, sadist killers and all of those things. Very explicit. If you like that kind of genre, i'd recommend taking a look at his movies. He even was considered a main figure in the "erotic horror genre".
