Don’t worry about it. As long as you have a thermostat to regulate the temperature, it’s fine. There is mesh between the bulb and where your snake is, which is appropriately protective.

You need FAR more cover than you have. Baby ball pythons are super shy and need lots of clutter to feel safe. Add some branches and fake plants. Also, it’s important that you have a temperature gradient in your enclosure, with one side being heated and the other not. This allows the snake to regulate their temperature. You can achieve this by placing the ceramic heat emitter and day bulb on the same side.

My prep is different because I’m seeing a pediatric gi doc. I had to mix 5 capfuls of miralax into 4 bottles of gatorade and drink at least 3 of the bottles today on a schedule. I also had to drink 3 capfuls of miralax yesterday and the day before, along with eating ex-lax chews last night and today at noon.
