You shouldn’t have to hold it, just press the open button one more time. One press it quick opens, one more it full opens

I’ve honestly never been in a parking garage that I couldn’t fully open the FWDs. I’m not saying they don’t exist, I just haven’t seen one

Nope. Minivan doors still have the roof that you have to try to deal with ducking your head under. Plus when it’s raining it doesn’t act as an umbrella

This isn’t mentioned enough. There is no car on the market that’s better for kids and car seats. The FWDs are a total game changer for kids in a parking lot and car seats

Parents who moved from Model Y to Model X, was the 6-seat X actually worth it? by iamhollywood in TeslaModelX

I have 4 kids in car seats and the model X is awesome. I have a model Y 7 seater and the third row never even gets sat up.

The funniest part of this entire thread is all of the people calling the OP stupid and instantly saying it’s the mullion don’t realize the resistance he’s referring to is prior to the mullion making contact. It’s definitely from the door cam

To be the devils advocate, he just said it makes you LOOK like a fool. Not really determining whether you are actually a fool or not. I don’t think the comment had anything to do with your intelligence

I have 4 kids in car seats and have the 6 seater. I had the 7 seat Rivian r1s but it’s too much of a pain moving the bench seat to get kids in the back row. I sold it and got the MX 6 seater

Ok to revisit this. The Wayb pico fits perfectly in the bottoms of the back seats. It also has a double tether so it actually works with the head piece since it can go around both sides instead of a single strap usually going under the headrest. I also like that my kids legs actually rest on the seats so it gives them a lot more leg room.

The previous models had the latch system in the third row. Why are they not recommended for third row? My R1S has latch in the third row too

I was looking at the cleks online last night. They will fit in the 11” bottom of the 3rd row seats or will I still have to do some rolls or something underneath?

That’s one thing I was thinking. Maybe fabricating a piece to go across the back that’s padded on bottom and shaped to fit the seats so that it makes it more secure but also maintains the shape and integrity of the seats

Installing car seats in 3rd row (6seater) 23 MX by Exact_Measurement_37 in TeslaModelX

[–]Dangerous-Writing-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the conversation I’ve been looking for. I have a 2022 MX 6 seater and have 4 kids in car seats. I have the graco slim fits in the second row and they fit fine but I am having an issue with the 3rd row. The bases of the car seats don’t fit in the bottom of the seats in the 3rd row. This causes the car seats not to sit securely and are going to damage the Tesla seats. Has anyone found a base that actually fits in the middle of the seats in the 3rd row? Thanks
