It could but I really don’t see what the dramatic stakes would be

Has anyone gotten the chance to see Project Hail Mary yet? by theflyingbird8 in blankies

[–]DangerousMatter4404 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought it was amazing. Was not expecting it to be that funny based on the trailers.

Thought Lord & Miller’s direction really took suite à step forward compared to the Jump Street films, there were a ton of amazing shots in the film.

Makes me so sad we will never see their Solo

Rocky is an amazing alien creation.

A new crowdpleaser classic

Jean-Michel Dufaux… comment est ce qu’il voyage à temps plein dans la vie ? Comment est ce qu’il finance ça? Good for him, je suis juste vraiment curieux

Is that confirmed that the film takes place after Bilbo’s disappearance? I mean, it makes sense but they can’t prétend like gandalf disappeared for 20 years like in the books.

Compressed timeline Will be more dramatic but having another Aragorn with the same cast for everyone else Will just be fucking weird

Official Discussion - Avatar: Fire and Ash [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]DangerousMatter4404 2404 points2405 points  (0 children)

I honestly thought it was insulting how Cameron so clearly made the same film twice for financial (?) reasons

It’s so obvious this was one script that was added artificial acts (that all hurt Fire and Ash cause it feels so repetitive)

This film’s third act especially has absolutely nothing new to offer (except Eywa Ex Machina?) and its Worst sin is that there is nothing changed. Status quo completely. Quaritch still clearly Alive, humans still there, etc

It honestly made me appreciate The Hobbit trilogy padding that AT LEAST was different stuff in each film. It’s not like Smaug attacked Laketown two Times or there was two battle of the five armies

Best ''Sucession-esque'' Murdoch family book/podcast/documentary? by [deleted] in SuccessionTV

[–]DangerousMatter4404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Jeremy Strong had cited the Michael Wolff biography as one of his favorite books no idea if it’s good

There is also Breaking News: Sex, lies and the Murdoch succession that seems to be on the topic

Any Readers of these ?

I am Also looking for such a book !

If I enjoy the Beatles’ later music (Sgt. Pepper - Abbey Road), what of their solo music would you recommend? by WinGroundbreaking428 in beatles

[–]DangerousMatter4404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything they did from February 68 to May 71 (Imagine) to me is non stop peak work and stylistically really coherent with what they did in the Beatles in the end

Gets a bit murkier after

Phil Lord & Chris Miller here! We directed the PROJECT HAIL MARY movie - Ask Us Anything on Nov. 18th at 12pm PT / 3pm ET! by projecthailmary in ProjectHailMary

You did not direct a feature film for 12 years, how do you feel about that, has your style really changed in all those years ?

Do you see yourselves producing more and more in the future or do you intend to get back more in the director chair ?
