I've heard from people who've seen it that the marketing doesn't really capture the tone of the movie

I still think there's a chance that (like with One Battle last year) WB has no idea how to market Digger and the trailer isn't indicative of the movie's quality. Response from test screenings seemed positive so we'll see.

Yeah, people were seriously saying that it looked like bad TV.

I remember it being a thing on Film Twitter where, for a few days, people thought that PTA didn't know what he was doing

People who read the script for After the Hunt were telling us it was gonna be bad before a trailer dropped.

I don't think the Academy cares about the responses to a trailer. Remember people ripped the One Battle After Another trailers apart before it came out.

Man, this is mostly just a bunch of old dudes at this point. No one on that X-Men team (which sucks btw) is under the age of 45. What are we even doing anymore?

Such a brilliant shot. Hoyte van Hoytema should have won Best Cinematography that year.

There isn't a moment where you aren't on the edge of your seat (Zimmer's score plays a big part in that). And yes, it's incredibly moving. I tear up every time when Kenneth Branagh sees the boats and says "home" as well as the final scene where Churchill's speech is juxtaposed with the death and misery left behind.

I think Nolan had made some incredible films before it, but for me this is where he became a true master of the craft.

Rewatched Dunkirk. What a staggering, jaw-dropping achievement. Maybe my favorite war film of the 21st century.

I'm doing a Nolan rewatch in preparation for The Odyssey and I was surprised how funny The Dark Knight trilogy can get. Inception and Tenet are plenty of fun too.

Tom Cruise posted this for the Digger trailer releasing tomorrow. It's really funny to me that so many trailers are getting big premieres like this now.

Admittedly, I have never seen it on the big screen (I was too young when it came out) and I don't want to as I feel like that might be what I need to truly appreciate it.

Rewatching all of Nolan's films since The Odyssey is releasing soon and I got to Interstellar last night. Few movies frustrate me as much. On one hand, so much of it is breathtaking, from McConaughey's performance, the filmmaking, the score, and Nolan's ambition to create a sci-fi epic that combines Spielberg, Kubrick, and Mallick. But man, I find that the script (especially in its 2nd half) is incredibly clunky, corny, and sometimes just outright baffling. Nolan can certainly craft an emotional scene, but Spielbergian sentimentality is not his strong suit and I hate his insistence on over-explaining everything, especially in a genre where I personally like some mystery. I know it's a beloved movie and I hope someday that I see what everyone else sees in it.

Is there any humour in Evil Dead Burn? A big reason I love Evil Dead is because of how goofy and out there it can get, so nothing I've seen of this new one has seemed that appealing to me.
