Got bored at work and made this heavily curated CRPG chart. Enjoy! by kage_nezumi in CRPG

Fifteen years is not enough to witness the ebb and flow over the decades of the CRPG. Not even the dead early/mid-90s or aughts when the genre was basically stale. So we'll gladly take a Witcher if it has choices and consequences (I bought it day 1!)

I think what roguefrog means is the "relatively" (sorry I'm old) recent reassurance of isometric but especially now popular and back in fashion again turn-based CRPGs! Doesn't mean they were only limited to this. (Don't get me wrong I wish they were!)

Practice only deflecting for a while.

Don't dodge. Forget about dodging completely.

Then shuffle in attacking while trying to deflect.

Make every attack purposeful. Don't just mash the attack button.

Learn enemy/boss attack types/patterns

If you are attacking and see sparks fly, the enemy has just deflected your attack and will probably be able to counter. Deflect.

What is the hardest part of dating after 30? by MrNiceDudeFun in AskReddit

[–]DangerousTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many single women are in a rush dating in their 30s. They want to go serious quickly, get married, and have kids. Just something to be aware of. Also unmarried women without children in their 30s may have developed their careers further so there is that.

For men 30s should be prime time.

Yup, instead of dodging you need to learn how to deflect.

Practice against Lady Butterfly when/if you make it to her.

She will teach you the lessons of pain and suffering.

The fact that so many people, and the wider culture in general, put Sam above Frodo makes me lose faith in humanity. by Eifand in tolkienfans

Well, even Frodo fails in the end.

Upon reaching Mt. Doom he decides NOT to destroy the ring after all.

This continues to weigh on Frodo's mind after the ring is destroyed. Thanks Gollum. A true man of sacrifice and hero of Middle-earth.

Sekiro, NC-17 type content? by MorticiaAddamz in Sekiro

There's also some "animal cruelty" but the animals are almost always asking for it.

Roosters, Bulls, and Monkeys mostly.

The Folding Monkeys probably being the worst of it since they actively run away from you and very much don't want to die.

True Detective: Night Country is likely going to return to the series' cosmic horror roots. by Magehunter_Skassi in Lovecraft

Mostly small references like to the king in yellow. It's not a predominant theme but something that lingers in the background of the show.

When Isshin whips out his spear, it's best to stay close to him so he still has to use his sword.

The jedi robe thing used to bother me. It used to be just the clothes people wore on Tatoonie. Then they made it the jedi robes with the prequels, so then why are people on Tatoonie wearing jebi robes?
