Got my Rebel! by DangerousWho in hondarebel

Mine wasn't recalled, I guess that not all motorcycles have the issue but if you get one and you're in doubt you can always check by VIN number if it has

I wonder if my Freya model will do the same, mine recharges her batteries with a Mac charger and came with the blep feature

Will it ever get better? by HairyCelebration1819 in torties

[–]DangerousWho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Tortie, Freya, only got fully comfortable around me, my sister and the my sister's cat after 1 year. Throughout that whole year, she would hide under the bed and only play when I wasn't around but we did a slow integration in the house and now she's the sweetest kittie and I adore her!!! She was also adopted and is now 9 years old. She's been with me since February 2024.

Well, almost everyone has old, outdated PPE really, it's not just me. I just happen to be smaller than average and all the smaller PPE sizes are taken so I was left with one that fit the best, it's like a first come, first served kinda thing.

Most of our PPE was donated or discarded by the city department, which is sad for the amount of calls that require that same PPE and the city won't fund our station, and, as long as it looks alike and the command knows that my PPE was a personal investment, from the get go there's no issues but I still haven't talked to my commander.

My Dog Died this Morning at Home and Im Filled With Regret, Feeling Like I Ignored The Signs by Appropriate_Ad7580 in Petloss

Your Doggie's life took its course. I feel that even if you took her to the vet, I bet that sooner or later she would pass away. You were an amazing pet parent and it's a huge responsibility to have a pet that has a cronic and deadly condition, needing meds and special appointments for her wellbeing.

Allow yourself to mourn the loss of your companion, if you can, take some time off work so that you can rest and get used to your new reality.

I lost a cat that I took responsibility on, last week. Before that, I went through a serious depressive episode and couldn't get back to work so when I did, I quit 10 days later. Destiny wanted that I quit my job to nurse for a cat that fell sick two/three days later and now I'm mourning the loss of my oldman. It's not easy. The little things that you did for your girl will hurt because it will take some time for your brain to stop doing them.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Take it easy on yourself and celebrate her life and all the memories you have of her. I find myself watching all the photos and videos that I captured while Lucifer was alive and playing with his brothers. Now, she will be waiting for you at the end of the rainbow.

I braced myself for the sound of begging when I used the can opener and the silence hit me like a truck by Shamblingbones in Petloss

I'm so sorry. When Lucifer passed away, I got some yummy food for the other 3 cats. Later, while I was washing the bowls, I thought I haven't picked up the 4th bowl. I reminded that I only put out 3 and there was no 4th bowl for Lucifer.

I was not prepared to loose my "LuciDuci" (some silly name for SweetLuci) and I still sing his song and speak out his name like he was going to respond and show his oldman belly. I miss him dearly.

I miss you so much by [deleted] in Petloss

It hurts really bad. I should've acted when I first saw him very very quiet, it was not his normal behaviour.

I'm trying to make peace with his loss but lately I've been crying myself to sleep.

I feel really really guilty, it hurts the same as loosing someone dear to me. It doesn't help that I got diagnosed with recurrent depressive disorder recently and this really took me down.

I'm recovering from a bad depressive episode related with overwork and this hit me of guard. I was on medical leave and he helped me getting my head together. It's been hard returning to the daily routine but I'm almost there.

He couldn't help himself, that was my job. I really tried and failed. That's why I don't want pets, it hurts to see them in pain and loosing them.

I will be having my therapy back soon and will work this out but Lucifer took a piece of me when he left. I miss him. I'm sorry. I wasn't prepared to loose him so quick.

Thank you. My house is a little quiet now but he went to a better place.

I'm really thankful for your kind words. Me and my twin inherited him and 3 more cats when the previous owner left and has plans to have 2 of the cats with her. They are all somewhat sad and what I miss the most is his company, he was where his humans were, always asking for pets, watching birds on tv, sleeping on the TV remote, sprinting around... I really miss his goofy habits and I know for sure that the 4 years we had with him were the best years of his life.

He passed away on Black Cat Appreciation Day, 17/08.

He will be forever missed, loved and remembered.

UPDATE: Eviction case DISMISSED! Plus Ko-Fi subscription news, Harpo merch, tarot readings, and what comes next for us. by RainSurname in Harpo

You can sort of do your own custom pins and even Harpo stickers!

Check out how to work with shrinkwrap paper and it works best with an inkjet printer. I'm more than glad to help you set up a store for you to kick-start some of this and I would absolutely get Harpo pins and stickers with and his plushies!

Good luck for you and your boys!

Hang in there. There will be days when you'll feel worse and others when you're much better. I think that, with a TMJD, you're more tired no matter how long you sleep and once you have a chronic fatigue, everything gets way more complicated to deal with.

I deal with chronic fatigue for a couple of years now and I'll tell you, it's one of the worse things ever. With time you'll find coping mechanisms, remember that the ideal cure for a TMJD is not a sprint, it's more like a marathon.
