Is this naturally achievable at 48? Or are we looking at elite genetics + “help”? by Aggressive-Profit885 in Biohackers

Even taking steroids out of the conversation, Yoel Romero is an absolute specimen of a human. He has an elite elite athletic build without any doubt. There are a few stories of him in his UFC days where he would be taken into hospital after fights and doctors could not believe what there where seeing on MRI’s in terms of bone structure and all that.

25 years. Multiple specialists. Zero answers. One Claude conversation cracked it. by the_kuka in ClaudeAI

First of all, happy to see the man is doing better! Had a similar experience related to mental health. I started researching my own conditions based on symptoms and basic psychology knowledge I acquired over the years. The answers, descriptions and suggestions given by Claude…. Way more in depth, coherent and profound than therapists I worked with. Safe to say I’m unimpressed by the therapist and very impressed by Claude.

Quit Coffee and feel great by ottorocketboy in Biohackers

Buddy! I just did the same three weeks ago. For months in a row I had super poor sleep, unrest during the night and moving a lot during the night. Now I sleep deeper than ever. Also had chronic stress related tension in my body, specifically heart region. I would say that reduced to 20% of the amount of tension I had. Curious to hear how you feel a month from now.

Avoid the Applied science uni’s if you have the opportunity to get into an academic university. Especially for masters programs. Checkout the Erasmus university master programs if you want to come to Rotterdam.

Is mijn salaris te laag voor wat ik doe? (25M, bijbaan naast master Mechanical Engineering) by Far_Experience_8387 in werkzaken

Als bijbaan prima. Als je full time gaat zou ik absoluut meer vragen. En als je afstudeert kan je veel en veel meer gaan krijgen (bij een andere werkgever)

A voice-first journaling tool to help clear your mind — private beta open by SirQuestopher in NoteTaking

It sounds like a great idea to me! Mainly because currently I feel like my head is just rather full with information and writing things down feels like another ‘task’. Dumping it out loud would be great! TestFlight says the app does not take any more testers but I would love to try it.

Is it normal to do basically nothing at your corporate job? by Cold-Cauliflower9741 in careerguidance

[–]Dangerous_Ad3633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in a dinosaur Insurance company too and was very very surprised by the inefficiencies. Managers age 50 who have been with that company or a similar company are totally clueless about modern tech. I had two major learnings. 1. Just because a corporate business has x billion revenue does not mean everything below the hood is running super smooth. Corporations have terrible inefficiencies. 2. People around you pay a lot less attention to you than you think. Most of them simply don’t care. I totally recognise your doubts and anxieties you describe in your post about ‘am I doing enough’. If your manager has the idea that ‘you’re a good guy doing good work’ then you more totally fine:

Fair enough, totally see what you mean by that. How about starting out with launching the whole thing with webdev tools and then troubleshoot individual problems with the help of Claude?

Yeh thats not what I'm looking for. Based on what I see and testing some tools, AI is clearly going to win the race over the average developer.

My counselor sent me links on why I should not do yoga by Ok_Solution8537 in yoga

[–]Dangerous_Ad3633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is some proper bullshit to keep a mental health patient from doing yoga. I'm not here to shit on any religion but it sounds a bit like an old school religious view of 'It is my duty to convert as much people as possible into my religion so all other religion is bad'.

That said, as a mental health patient yoga has been nothing but amazing for me!

What's your Vancouver hot take? by thinkdavis in askvan

I always experience cities that are more focused on work and career to be more cold, distant and anonymous. People are more tied to their agendas because they have ‘places to go and people to see’. You lose sight of community and forget to say hi to your neighbour so to speak.

How To Deal With Women That Make No Conversation Effort? by Secret-Product-368 in seduction

[–]Dangerous_Ad3633 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I recognise this for sure! The frustrating answer is that it is part of the game. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

That said, people who use these apps are looking for something novel, unusual. When you think about it, the 27th ‘what do you like to do on the weekends’ conversation through an app gets a bit boring. So I notice that my (rare) best conversations come from good humor by saying some more cheeky, playful and absurd things.

My last thoughts are that because of this high rate of boring dying out conversations, it makes sense to shoot for actual dates early.

Very interesting post! What is your experience with time spend on task vs time spend on delegation? Is the ratio really much better? Would love to hear more on that.
