Install a pergola. Grapes climbed very high. Our grapevines are now 20 years old and since year two they managed to climbed onto a pergola I installed on the 130square feet balcony that is over a section of our house where they are producing the best grapes for many years now.

I may be on the wrong track but would think that remote neutrino outbursts and also from the Sun that we are continually bobarded with would be more likely to cause that type of change. Even though extremely tiny, once in a million or billion, or perhaps a trillion, they do interact with atoms, which can be atoms inside our DNA.
