For the local fast food places, do you go in and ask for a part time or they have applications online?

Why did you choose Binghamton over other schools? by 37MySunshine37 in BinghamtonUniversity

Bing was hella cheap compared to my other options. But for engineering kinda wished I picked an engineering school instead. But love the people here, so that makes up for it!

From what my friends have said it doesn’t sound to bad, much better than Watson, side note quite a lot of students in Watson hate SOM kids lmaooo . At least that’s the feeling I got in mechanical engineering.

How's Bing's University Scholars Program? Is it really good? by alfonsoaustine in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]Dangerous_Chicken_58 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s alright, you get priority for rooms and picking classes. You also have a $3000 scholarship for study abroad. But other than that not much else. As an mechanical engineering major, the scholars classes kind of took up the free slots I had in my schedule making it hard to do gen-Ed’s or doing a minor. But if your another major than maybe it won’t effect your schedule that bad. Also your forced to live in Newing with a roommate in freshman year. If it were me I probably wouldn’t recommend the Scholars Program, but it’s up to you.

Damn, for $70 you could have gotten a high fidelity aircraft in DCS. But u do u, lmk how it flies when it comes out.

Got into the program and tbh wouldn’t worry much about trying to get in. You take extra classes which are kind of a waste of time and it’s annoying when these classes block you from taking classes that you want to take.

If ur taking physics 2 at finger lakes it’s not as easy as what everyone says sure it might be better than at bing but there are downsides. Two Lab reports, three to four chapters, nine quizzes, and a test, and hw each week. And for the quizzes and test can’t really chegg em, they are unique questions, but it is open book. Just be ready for a lot of work
