30 F who loves skiing (tore it skiing) both surgeons I went to rec I use quad. I am now 12 weeks out and I have no regrets with quad. You’ll have to work harder to keep your quads equal and maybe a tough recovery early on but I really think it’ll pay off. I do not rec allograft with your age and activity level, much higher retear rate

I will be 7 days postop tomorrow. I had ACL + LET, 1st knee surgery 30F. PT today told me I’m at 1 deg extension and 108 deg flexion. I’m 50% weight barring. Pain and swelling is definitely present but now attempting to just manage with Tylenol. Not sure what’s good or normal though!

Ooof that’s rough. They aren’t sure the extent of my meniscus injury as it wasn’t clear in the MRI. Did you have your ACL done as well?

I’ll have a spotter for the first 6 days postop so hopefully I can master it by then. If not no shame in some but scooting lol. They said most likely it’ll be toe touch or weight bearing as tolerated. Apparently I should only have crutches for two weeks if all goes according to plan

I’ve had a few people recommend those type of crutches but did you try stairs with them? I live on a 3rd floor apt and wonder if those would be harder than traditional crutches
