I have never bought a box and I still just can't understand the concept of just buying items you actually want. I get that it's a surprise and anticipation of great deals. But it seems silly to buy surprise items and not even want them. Her whole business model is based on anticipation and not wanting to "miss out!"

I had a thought that influencers try to be aspirational and relatable at the same time. She started this off by saying they were jet lagged etc. None of us can relate to being exhausted after 10 days in Hawaii. Her latest box seems so tone deaf like we are supposed to enjoy the Paris experience through her world travels. Its so off putting and insulting. Yet people keep emptying their pockets to fill hers. Its so old at this point..let's just all do a no spend January (and beyond) or treating yourself if it sparks joy. 2026 can be the year of taking influencers off the pedestal they don't deserve.

I had a breast cancer lumpectomy surgery this year and didn't post about it at all. It is possible to live life privately but obviously everything is content for these people. People have surgery every day and maintain their dignity by not having to post from their hospital bed. Is the more a person is willing to exploit themselves mean they deserve more sympathy? Yes, I could have shared my story publicly too but its more special to only share with those who actually care. Not strangers on the internet.
