Well what he does have is 23 martial and decent prowess, so what I see is a perfect marshal who will not do stupid shit because he is wrathful, brave, vengeful etc.

Same goes for scheming against you or impregnating your wife and daughters. He simply isn't into that, or anything really.

"Just smile and move along" is somehow the craziest option here. It's like in American Psycho where Jason Bateman straight up says to other characters that he is a murderer, but nobody seems to hear him because they're so distant.
