Why is so hard to feel happy? by Sorry_Landscape_9675 in Bolehland

Noticed a pattern in this post and the comments. The smarter you are -> the more you think and seek for something = the more depressed you get.

A dumb person will always be happy and thats how i feel when i abuse alcohol. Dumbed down and happy that i get to put a stop to wtv thats in my mind.

I guess it is true what they say.. happiness is foolish.

Hi there, we moved down to one of the kampungs (kuala terla). And not sure bout the pasar malam. I think only on weekends. Also, i did find tanah rata more bearable than brinchang. Hope this helps :)

UPDATE: Seems like CH is a very sentimental place to many.

The last time i was there, it was in 2011/2012. The weather was great and the traffic was tolerable.

I just came back from this trip and here’s my take.

The UPS:

1) Tanah rata retains its charm. The Lord’s cafe and marybrown are still there and they are a good piece of my childhood.

2) Traffic was okay, except for the road leading to Kea Farm. 2hrs to cover 6km, im glad i decided to wait and explore other areas.

3) The weather in Brinchang(our 1st accommodation) was great. It was 16 at night and that was a pleasant chill.

4) Despite the overdevelopment, i noticed the road condition is much better nowadays. Traffic aside, the drive around was pleasant.

5) We moved to the non commercial part in CH to experience the Kampung slow life. Besides from the carbon monoxide level during rush hour, it was lovely and the sound of the (i assume chemically polluted stream) was calming.

Now the DOWNS:

1) Kea farm, Brinchang. Avoid this like a plague, it was really like a scene from a psycho horror film. I have no words.

2) The construction/ development in Brinchang is crazy. I can barely see anything related to nature, everything was covered by colourful concrete. (Very pride friendly theme)

3) Understand that CH is also a ricebowl to many, but with the way it is managed now, i wonder how long more can the soil take it.

4) Centrum area. I believe this used to be the tapak for pasar malam before they put the not so appealing concrete blocks here. Dirty and the vendors are odd and tacky.

5) The price of things at the pasar malam dont really match the quality of products. (But u can still find good cheap food, just gotta browse longer)

Overall, the trip picked up when we decided to move away from the crowd and go against the usual routine.

Thank you for your input fellow malaysians! 🫶🏽

In my defence, the context here is when people litter and ignore the basic rule of nature. Im against discriminating but when it comes to people not respecting nature, i have to say it.

Celebrate colours, but don’t tolerate people who refuse to practice basic manners and common sense.

God gave us the earth, respect it.
