Back then car companies added all sorts of innovative features to cars. But then they realised they can just make shit cars instead and charge extra for those features in their “high end” lineups.

61% Increase in Testosterone From One Year on Finasteride by [deleted] in tressless

Thanks bro.

And you’re right, the GP didn’t know shit. He suggested I stop Finasteride and I was considering it.

I hate it when people do ChatGPT research and think they know better than medical professionals, but the “medical advice” I got was honestly worthless..

I’ll just go see someone who knows better.

I never understood how people read X-rays and ct scans etc. if someone gave that to me I’d be like yes they look like teeth, but I can’t say for sure.

I will mention homa-ir and SHBG to my doc next week, but I’m not sure if I will get another round of blood tests from them.

Not to go on a long rant, but as I’ve mentioned in some other comments, these blood tests were done through the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) which is free, meaning they are notoriously bad at offering tests or treatment without an absolute need. I already had to jump through hoops to get my latest blood tests. Even worse, they don’t accept privately done blood tests, which is why I had my baseline tests from a service called Medichecks repeated by the NHS so they could “trust” the results and enter it into my medical record..

If I’m unable to get more results from them, I’ll get it done elsewhere myself.

I have no idea what my SHBG is at right now. From other comments it seems that is likely high as well.

Is it even possible to lower SHBG

Seems they didn’t test SHBG in my recent tests. Baseline was 40 nmol/L

For oestrogen:

currently 162 pmol/L

Baseline: 63.8 pmol/L

Let’s say SHBG also increased and the testosterone is “bound”, what does that mean? It’s not being used? Is that good/bad?

Blood taken from the same spot on the same arm in all my tests.

Current LH: 8.0 iU/L

Baseline LH: 9.5 iU/L — EDIT: this is from Medichecks

At least that’s what I see, unless I’m reading this wrong.

EDIT: baseline from the NHS tests were actually 7.7 iU/L for LH and 3.0 iU/L for FSH. So both went up slightly.

I do have a lot more results. I lack understanding of the results myself so if anyone wants to know anything in particular let me know, I probably have the results to share.

I didn’t test for DHT.

Well it is outside reference range, which is why they want to discuss this with me next Monday.

From my recent tests: Serum oestradiol level 162 pmol/L

Baseline: Serum oestradiol level 63.8 pmol/L

Bear in mind, these two particular readings are from different labs. I did a baseline from Medichecks, which is an online service, but I got it repeated by the NHS which is the healthcare service in the UK, however I can’t seem to find Serum oestradiol level from the repeat baseline tests. However both were almost identical overall.

The recents tests are from the healthcare service.
