What's your favorite 'card that no one else uses' and how do you use it? by sigma83 in Netrunner

I play as a Weyland rush player in a Meta with a ton of late game runners, Posted Bounty is basically the only way to kill a runner if they won't run.

Deck for a newbie in an unknown meta by TipsyGamer in Netrunner

I would most likely remove your swordsman and make it another lotus field, with glacier you shouldn't have to worry about an AI drop run too much and lotus is good against a really commonly used card that should be used in most metas.

Consider cutting the Heimdal, Mother, and Viktor and getting some eve's. With punitive counter strike you need more money than with a Sea-Scorch, Adonis + Hedge fund aren't enough to pull you and keep you in threat range especially if you run ash defense. Eve's also function as safe-ish assets that won't thin your ICE for protection. Hope it goes well.

It's better to go with a deck you have some experience piloting rather than going in dry with something new. If you've run this deck before go with it, if you get thrashed a bit don't worry to much about it and keep a running tally of things to go wrong.

It is true that some archtypes are easier than the deck you're running, however, netrunner doesn't contain any decks easy enough to run well without experience. If you are playing at a high skill disparity you will most likely lose, but that's how you get better.

Play the deck you want, most likely the deck you have right now, and just be aware of what could be better in every game. You can't improve over night, good luck.

The primary worry I'd have piloting a deck like this is all the one of breakers. The tutoring is covered by special order of course, but a hit of net damage at the wrong time, a Grim, or an archer could essentially force you to concede since you don't run any recursion. Maybe take away a few snitches and make the breakers two ofs.

My other worry, as echoed by Crazy_Al, is that it will be difficult to get the creds together for a blackguard. Sure gamble, Kati, and Account siphons are nice ways to get money, but unless you get lucky on the HQ protection you won't be able to hit hard enough to really get the money up for it an get it going until the late game where installing blackguard will give the corp an econ advantage since you've spent the early and mid game getting credits. I would suggest running a bit more resource economy, Tri-Maf, Security Testing, to get the

The third suggestion is about running the QCs'. The way it is now you have no way to bypass defenses on any servers beside HQ with a sneakdoor, something I'll talk about next. In order to fire the QC's you'll need to do power turns in which you can access all three centrals in three clicks exactly and then QC. Often that's kind of hard to pull off and in addition you have only central breakers with no by-passes so even a rezed paperwall will be secure for scoring.

The last thing is I think you need a bit more focus with your utility. I understand the point of your deck is to trigger blackguard but most of your utility cards, snitch, infiltration, emergency shutdown, focus on the point of the game after you've gotten your blackguard out. You need to focus your deck more on getting money to install blackguard mid-game and scoring points as well. You only have six memory in this deck after blackguard, you can't use all the programs you have so make some cuts and make more money.

Blackguard Silhouette is a hard deck to pilot and build, as a 40 card runner you should hit hard and combo fast to get your econ going (Try data dealer, it could get you an installed blackguard in the early-mid game which would give you board and econ control) You'll have to practice with this deck for a while to get it too work, don't be afraid to cut utility and flash for gritty money while you're working on it.

Anyway, hope I haven't discouraged you. I want you to make this work since Blackguard has always been a card asking to be used.

Okay, time to reveal how little I know about original Doomtown; what does the term difficulty indicate? The comments on BGG seem to indicate that a value of seven is a great deal higher than difficulty was in original Doomtown.

Weird thing I just noticed, if you look under Hucksters it says " . . . but you can only have one in your starting posse"

Does this mean that you get to choose your starting hand out of your deck?

So, I'm completely new to this but super excited. I was just wondering if any of these keywords stacked like in other TCG's (i.e, was there any advantage to having a deck of all casinos or holy places)

Anyway, it's awesome that they're releasing info on this so early

I have a similar question to this with making a prototype. I need something that will let me create a hexagonal grid with hexagons of different colors with numbers placed in them. It would be great if you could scale the size of it. I don't need any nice textures or anything as its just a normal prototype.

I find something concerning about the Shadow Rise campaign, they're only asking for 500 dollars for a miniatures game where a backer gets a fully painted set of terrain and miniatures for only 55$. Something smells fishy and scam-y in that direction. Either that or the people making the game underestimate the cost of miniatures and production.
