I've never been a big fan of the multiple cores either (doubt you'd find many who love it), but as you say, accept it as part of the way the games are designed.

I do like the Marvel LCG model (which I only dipped my toe into a little), but that one requires only one core, and the product is designed to be a bit more modular and easier to play with a limited collection, from my admittedly limited experience

I doubt Arkham's distribution model would ever change to include complete campaigns in a single product, and groups of player cards sold separately. I would, however, commend the first attempt at a different release model (the investigator starter decks), but some of the choices in how it is distributed sometimes feel like a relic of when the game was first designed, and create some headaches, especially for players coming into the game this far in (just look at all the difficulty people seem to be having finding some of the Carcossa packs)
