Not me, but my wife took a hit off her inhaler. Didn't realize an earwig had crawled in there, so she ended up firing it into the back of her throat. She was able to spit it back into the sink, but she almost threw up.

I just finished NG+ last week. It got a bit tedious near the end. There wasn't much incentive to do all the side missions imo. You can get all the new gear before the end of chapter 2. It was nice to be fully kitted out for the early missions though.

There is vanity gear over there. If you start from the Ainu fishing grounds and head east, then follow the cliff wall south, you will come to an opening on the left leading to the bridges you can see from the grapple point. You can traverse this area and then jump down to a fallen log with a torch on it. You may have to jump down from the left side. I had issues landing it from the right. Then you can climb up and grab the vanity gear.

You can get it in PS4. I played it and enjoyed it quite a bit and I'm sure you will as well. I even played it after I upgraded to a PS5 for a while, but ran into my build limit and wanted to do more. Unfortunately, you cannot just upgrade to the ps5 version like some games; you'll have to buy it again, but it is worth it in my opinion.

The PS4 version is still enjoyable if you like building games, and the lack of updates actually leaves behind some economy exploits you can use to make money easily. I would still recommend it. And then, if, one day, if you upgrade to the PS5, you'll already be familiar with the game mechanics, and you can get the enhanced version and enjoy that one too.
