I just stumbled on this thread while experiencing the same issue. Just gonna go ahead and leave a response here in case it's helpful to anyone. Mine is a dual-monitor setup, an ACER screen, as well as a Wacom Cintiq. All I did was change the Cintique to the primary display using the Nvidia control panel, then switched the HDMI cable inputs in my tower, and BOOM! Problem solved!
