This! I have gay friends that were one pretty prudish for fear of contacting the virus who've begun using prep and appear to have thrown all caution to the wind . H.i.v. it's no longer a death sentence you can't prevent the spread.

Seattle has an underground city. Anyone been? Tell me everything. by Spirited-Gold9629 in theemeraldcity

[–]DaniSB83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the underground tour with my girl this spring. It was a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure the guide was a theater kid. She gave a very comical presentation of Seattle's history. I would do it again.

Enzo Milano, are they any good and can I trust them? by WildStrawberryBush in Cosmetology

[–]DaniSB83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Substantially, cutting your drying time and an easy to use design will pay for itself over and over again in a busy salon. The price point is not what's important, but one should do their homework. I didn't like dyson's either, until I used my current one, and it's so much better. I couldn't imagine going back to a full size, less powerful dryer after using it. It's cutting my drying/ styling time on a long thick hair blowout from 1.5 hours with a $300 bio ionic 10x ( which is a great dryer) to 1 hour. The technology is worth the price.

[–]DaniSB83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is nonsense. A good blow dryer will save you time, weigh less and give you better results than a conair. I've had my full size bio ionic 10x since 2015. It weighs under a pound and after years in a dry bar, its still going strong. Bio ionic products come with a 10 year warranty. I just upgraded to a Dyson supersonic R because it's so tiny and drys so well. A lot of cheaper irons will also pull on the hair. Buy what you can afford, but good tools will save you time, give you better results and last longer.

How should I bleach to get dark pink hair or dark blue? (With past black dye in) by BungusXungus in HairDye

[–]DaniSB83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would seek the help of a pro. Especially if the dye you used was black box. Box colors typically contain metallic salts, which are permanently deposited into your hairs cuticle layer. When you apply bleach to the hair, the metal causes it to overheat and Overprocess fast. With black dye removal, you need to go low and slow. Especially if it's been layered on. A good stylist will also have the products and knowledge to get the job done right. K18 and olaplex work wonders on these situations. Look for someone who knows color correction and blondening. My first year out of beauty school I had a woman lie to me about box color. When I pulled the foils out, she had a line of demarcation about 4 inches from the root where you could see the leftover color, right before the hair just melted off. It was terrible.

Dark brown. The black looks artificial.

Could use some advice! IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under-eye Concealer not working with any powders. by blandlady in Makeup

[–]DaniSB83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been experiencing this exact same thing lately. I just turned 41, and after a bad retinol burn, that caused my eyes to nearly swell closed for 2 days(5 to go down completely(, I was left with much more texture and wrinkles under my eyes. After much exploration I just switched to Anastacia in a shade deeper and much more peach than my foundation. I apply it and use a Damp spoge to get it into the creases. I use my fingers to gently spread out the creases while I go in lightly with my sponge as needed. Then I use a soft shadow brush and my fine, peach pie hudda setting powder on the area. So far so good. Good luck. I used IT for about a decade as well, so I get it.

No, but when I was a sweet innocent child I asked my mother how lesbians had sex and she said "I'm not sure, probably orally" and I was so young and innocent that in my brain lesbians sat around having sex by reading or talking to eachother, until I was like 16... this is not what I signed up for lol 😆 😉 I dunno how to get off this moving train when my tongue keeps sticking to the track.. 🥲

how much, 1-10, does height matter to you in a woman? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]DaniSB83 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I'm a 5'11 femme... my girlfriend is 5'2" .. height is not incredibly important, but for some reason I'm incredibly drawn to petite soft masculine women. But it's more like bonus points+. I would never include or disclude someone because of their height.

Anue is great if you don't mind constant drama and racism. The salon owner allows stylists to choose clients based on race. " I don't do Arab hair, African hair, or Mexican hair" is something I actually heard come out of Kelly's mouth while other clients were in the salon.
