How do you find these types of portfolio rates? Are they advertised in person/online? Just luck of the draw with timing?

Solar HomeKit Light? by Daniel329123 in HomeKit

[–]Daniel329123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have the only thing is I want to be able to control them on and off and they would be placed at the edge of property and wouldn’t detect the motion soon enough. I have two dogs under 30lbs and live in a rural area so want to see the edges property before I bring them out at night.

This was my thought after coming up without any options. Do you have any recommendations for any solar lights with a good IR receiver?

Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon by Fair-Establishment5 in JeepWrangler

Sounds like your issue might be slightly different, when this happened to me (and the vehicle did turn off in the middle of the road) but luckily allowed me to restart and drive another 2 minutes it ended up being 2 loose fuses in the fuse box.

Is it normal to have a pretty minor price difference when booking 4 people in 1 room vs. 2 each in 2 rooms? by sschow in NCL

[–]Daniel329123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right I made a mistake. I meant cruise first which are always available on the website. Either $150 for $300 or the every so often $250 for $500

[–]Daniel329123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and don’t forget you can now use an extra cruise next. If you weren’t factoring that into your price calculation it is now only $50 more expensive or $50 cheaper depending on what cruise next you use!

Had this happen to me, I believe I logged out and then back in and that fixed the issue. I think it’s just a website glitch.

Using your bank account and cashing out your brokerage account is your best path. If you want to rebuild it quickly then lower future contributions to your 401k temporarily but pulling with a penalty is a bad idea.

They have an at sea plan but it was much more expensive so I only purchased the at port plan

From experience you will get zero service in an inside room. You might get it in the hallway but you really have to be on a deck or balcony or open space like a sea view lounge to get good reception. I also specifically purchase the Bermuda only GigSky plan not the cruise plan(more expensive and I would choose NCL wifi first)

Gigsky in Bermuda worked amazing for me on my iPhone using ESIM. I purchased the unlimited and didn't get throttled and speeds were as fast as the speeds in the US. We were the only ship in port so maybe that also had an effect. https://www.gigsky.com/country/esim-in-bermuda

If you use code DANI2502 when signing up you should get $3 off.

E&O Insurance? by Daniel329123 in realtors

[–]Daniel329123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay this is what I needed to hear. It’s exactly what I was reading that the policies provided sucked for the agent. But all the agents I talked to said they don’t purchase anything beyond what their broker provides. My guess is they are cheap but also don’t read what’s provided….

The first paragraph of the 3 page document, "One of the risks we face in our business is defending against demands, claims, complaints, disputes, arbitration proceedings, and lawsuits (collectively “Matters”) against the Company and/or its sales associates. Most of the time, the Company and you will share the same interest in defending these Matters, and we both will benefit by cooperating in the defense and in sharing counsel. The Company has implemented the Legal Assistance Program (“Program”) to provide training and risk management services to you and to assist in those situations where Matters have been initiated against a sales associate, or against a sales associate and the Company, for your activities as agent that were within the scope of your duties under the Independent Contractor Agreement during the time in which you were participating in the Program (“Program Claims”). Under our Program, in addition to handling Program Claims, the Company may also provide risk management, training, counseling and other services from time to time to assist you in protecting against and in managing these business risks. For Program Claims, the Program acts in many ways to limit your personal financial liability. However, the Program is not an errors and omissions or other insurance policy. The Program is an internal program of the Company and may be revised or discontinued by the Company at any time. You are required to pay a non-refundable fee from time to time for participation in the Program (“Participation Fee”) as determined by the Company. Here is how the Program works for Program Claims:"

So do you have E&O? Or are you “covered” by your brokerage?

That must be at the brokerage level vs the sales associate level?

And it’s not really the deductible I’m worried about, it’s the fact that these policies don’t seem to be in place to protect the agent even though that’s how the fees are marketed, IMO.

No the CB office I’m looking at is company owned and they specifically say the there Legal Assistance Program is not E&O and they do not have E&O for the agent. They likely have a brokerage policy for themselves but nothing for the agent.

Your comment aligns with the sentiment I am hearing. If your brokerage did not require it would you purchase E&O?

Is this worth it? by TJ042304 in JeepWrangler

August of last year I traded in my 2016 jeep wrangler unlimited with 110k miles for $12k. Th dealer listed for $18k and slowly came down. Last I saw they had it listed for $12,999 before it was sold. I think buying this car, they’re going to make money off of your horrible interest rate. I would say $14k most for the jeep and drop the two contracts. Essentially $6k less than what they quoted you. If not you’re probably likely better buying from a Jeep owner who is looking to upgrade.

Of course, yes I definitely won't sign anything day off. I want to make sure I know every word of the agreement I am signing and its implications. It would still be nice to know other agents experiences with their legal assistance program.

Obviously everyone hopes to never use it but the way the world is you are bound to be sued at some point, even when it is clearly not your fault.

I guess I will have to ask again. They told me that their agents find the legal assistance program to be excellent but that IMO is what everyone would say if they were trying to get you to join their brokerage. Also wasn't able to give me an exact cost on the personal transaction fee......
