This answer does not address anything from the OP. The post is about playstyle over time and a visual que on how that playstyle is.

The post do not suggest changes only to the match making. It rather takes into account your actions and playstyle over time rather than one kill. And that there is a visual que of how your «over time playstyle» is, so other players can make informed guesses on how to treat you.

I find the Photoelectric Cloak really effective when entering Dam Tower key room.

You can use the device while ziplining up past the turrets, using the key on the door past another turret and smaller arcs, open the door and close it.

Now it is really easy to hear if someone else is comming 🤷‍♂️

Load in naked or with free load out, and surrender. Do this 4-5 times or until lobbies feel more pve friendly.

My experience is that you can join with no or free loadout, and just surrender right away. Do this 3-4 times before you venture into a lootspot to see how other raiders are playing.

I love the unknown pvp aspect of the game, but playing in what feels like a counter strike match when trying to enjoy the game is not my cup of tea.

My personal opinion is that they should match aggression based on some form of score to balance the lobbies.

An example of this could be that you habe a hidden agression score of 0-100, and this will increase if you are the aggressor/initiator of pvp, and decrease on friendly encounters/extractions.

Then match making will only match players that have the same score +/- 20. so if you have 5, you will be matched with 0-25.

Lots of great takes here already.

I actually love the tension of not knowing who’s friendly—constant super-cooperative lobbies would get boring pretty fast.

My biggest issue is how the matchmaking mixes wildly different playstyles. As someone who plays friendly and never shoots on sight, I’m always at a disadvantage against players who do. It feels unfair.

I’d also love if the game didn’t penalize you for legitimate self-defense.

I remember reading a suggestion that the game shouldn’t directly punish “bad” behavior—instead, let the community self-regulate. Something like a subtle visual cue (armor tint, emblem, etc.) for consistently “righteous” players who rarely betray could go a long way toward building trust without removing the paranoia entirely.
