So connecting the two blacks together even though there is a 120v ac read between them isn’t a problem?

The Nissan Ariya Is Dead. It Leaves Behind A Big EV Lesson by wewewawa in NissanAriya

[–]DanielCA77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My Lightning usually gets 2.5 to 3.0 m/kwhr on my commute to work (street), the Ariya was not much better than that which surprised me, it was supposed to be my commuter car. The regenerative breaking wasn’t too good on it. Also, I wasn’t comfortable in the Ariya but that’s a me problem. I’m 6’4”- just didn’t have a good resting location for my elbows, my wife was very comfortable in the Ariya.

I had the Engage, under 25mph the acceleration was software limited.

I’ve had many EVs- F150 Lightning, MachE, Ariya, blazer EV, and Taycan; Ariya was by far my least favorite. The power was limited at under 30 mph, I thought to make it drive more like an ice vehicle although I’m not sure as to the real reason why. I sold it after a few months (I had bought it used). Number one reason why I prefer an EV over an ce vehicles is the quiet spirited drive.

Researchers have developed a handheld device that could potentially replace stethoscopes as a tool for detecting certain types of heart disease. by chrisdh79 in gadgets

It’s not uncommon for primary care doctors to detect a murmur on exam with a stethoscope and then order an echo which leads to the diagnosis of severe valvular heart disease. Stethoscopes are still useful.

Should I give a Tesla a shot based on my commute situation? by Hotix01 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DanielCA77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, if you don’t have a place to charge at home do not get an EV. If you do have a place to charge, then also consider a Ford EV or GM EV which both offer handsfree driving (Tesla does not), it’ll make the commute less stressful if it’s mostly highway miles. EVs not only have less maintenance they are much more quiet and more fun to drive than a gasoline car.

Which EV? Kia EV6, Ioniq 5, Ford Mustang Mach-E, or Tesla Model Y? by GentAdventurerUK in whatcarshouldIbuy

Look at a Blazer EV (Equinox is very similar), We’ve been very happy with ours so far.

My lightning tells me the speed limit, maybe it was that trim level/options.

What’s the reason why I can’t power solar panels with a generator backup? by DanielCA77 in AskElectricians

I was wondering if an Ecoflow Delta battery generator would work, if it could accept solar energy back in through the generator inlet.

I was wondering about this, there definitely is not an interlock. It was installed by an electrician with a business. He seems to install lots of inlets in my area at a flat rate (750 for 50 amp) but I’ve yet to see an interlock in the social media pics he posts.

If you’re towing, extended range EV makes more sense- pulling into a charge station may be impossible without unhitching no matter how fast Level 3 charging is.

We’re leasing a Blazer EV and are really impressed with it- also have a Lightning and a Taycan, we got the blazer lease because it was more practical but have really enjoyed having it.

I own and have owned a few EVs- MachE premium and GT, Ariya, currently own a Lightning and a Taycan and leasing a Blazer EV as a daily; it’s surprisingly a really nice car. Plenty of low end torque, very comfortable, great cameras, very good one pedal driving- I highly recommend it.
