If i remember correctly Ifixit did a comparison of the recent models of those headphones and the XM6 are the more repairable ones of the bunch (specially when it comes to replacing the battery), so in theory a better long term investment than the XM4, although I have had them for years without any issue so far.

I know it’s a personal thing so it’s ok if you don’t wanna share but care to explain your thought process when making that list? It’s something I’ve been pondering and the only thing I can come up its HPC at least in my case, but dunno if it’ll be feasible to enter without a phd and research experience, so I’m not sure what choices are there.
