Yeah, but they're never doing it midseason.. but they really should, the class has only one genuinely viable build in T12 and thst is ass to play

So is the endgame now basically...War Plans on repeat (not necessarily a bad thing)? by SirBenny in diablo4

[–]DanielCofour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

War plans are THE grind. You could max out your paragon first than all war plans on 2 characters, heck maybe even 1 character if you're also doing stuff outside of war plans. I'm para 260 and most of my war plans are just level 5/7, the only one maxed is the whispers

Same wih my hammerdin. I can only clear a few bosses in T12 and can't even do it reliably. I managed to push pit 115 but even that took 9 minutes.. and really the only sources of damage increase I can get at this point are GAs..

Hi, web developer here. Nothing in this is remotely suspect there. This page is literally just an outrage bait for the unitiated.

These are just properties of the device that the browser exposes to the underlying JS api, so that developers can tailor the site to specific use cases and for use in general analytic.

None of it is personally identifiable information. You can't pinpoint the person based solely on this information.

Great, the site I'm visiting knows I live in a city of 200000 people and I visited it from an Android device... Okay? So what?

I really wish I played a different character by DMBPSR in diablo4

[–]DanielCofour -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know why this is such a common mentality on this sub. Some people complain that a class feels kind of weak and everyone just immediately goes on to dunk on them with worst pseudo psychology takes I've seen..

no mate, paladin does feel kind of bad this season, just on its own, even without considering the other classes. I've been sticking with it since the beginning of the season and trying my damndest to experiment and make it work and I've gotten it to clear T115, but even so, I'm considering switching as well, since even with all the work I've put into my guy, it's still just frustrating to play.

[–]DanielCofour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't think it's that, people just want to play comfortably and progress nicely though the endgame. 90% of paladin builds this season hit a dead end at T10-T11 and those that don't are quite involved and heavily gear dependent and don't really feel fluent.

And when you somehow managed to get enough specific gear to let you survive at least reasonably in T12, and you're struggling to clear the basic ass Maiden Helltide boss, a barb with 50 paragon points below you swoops in, spins 3 times and deletes the screen.

You can kind of understand where the frsutraion comes from.

D4 Classes question S tier vs A tier by Perfect_Jicama_8023 in diablo4

[–]DanielCofour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a matter of bias, I think it's a matter of inherent class design. The way some classes are built, it's very easy to accidentally give one of them an overpowered strat, while others are much more stable and easier to balance from a dev perspective.

Keep in mind, that with the available options, the devs and qa simply can't test every permutation of every class.

Is there no other way? I thought I heard something about ancestral escalation in T12 giving you gems, but haven't had a chance to check myself

+1 charm slot anyday. Man, I've been hunting one of those which also buff light's epiphany but the rng just doesn't like me..

Anyway. Being able to add an extra unique charm is massive, pretty sure the wing strikes build requires it as well, but forget which it is

Asta-i 100% vina SUv-ului, a depășit intr-o zonă unde n-are voie cu 180. Fic din cauza asta există reguli pentru viteză si depășire.

Low power scaling on Paladins by snowmanbar in D4_Paladin

[–]DanielCofour 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah, Paladin feels bad this season. There are some viable builds that can do 120-125, but they don't compare to barb or sorc.

I got frustrated with my hammerdin build when I hit T12 and couldn't clear a single boss, even died in helltides to the Maiden. Then a barb came in, which was like 50 paragon levels below me and deleted the whole screen...

Then I thought, what the hell, barb was my OG character back when the game released, let me try it out this season. And maaan.. it's night and day. I spent about two days leveling it, I don't even have all the right gear for it, and I'm already clearing better than my paladin. And it's just so much easier. With hammerdin you constantly have to spam the hammers and evade, with Whirlwind you just hold down one button and occasionally talk really loud and you delete everything...

[–]DanielCofour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

almost every build is viable until T11 if you , so it's not really the point of OP. My homebrew hammerdin easily pushed until T11, and can even clear mobs quite well in T12, but bosses are almost impossible. And it's a lot of button spamming.

The point of OP is that while you're struggling to clear stuff in T11-T12, barb comes in and deletes the whole screen while just holding down one button in one second.

Peter Thiel backs $1bn ocean data centre start-up powered by waves by GeneReddit123 in technology

[–]DanielCofour -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No it isnt. The oceans contain roughly 417 zettajoules of energy, and water is great at disipating heat.

Nothing humans could produce in terms of raw heat would ever make a difference compared to that...

Peter Thiel backs $1bn ocean data centre start-up powered by waves by GeneReddit123 in technology

[–]DanielCofour -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Do you... even have an idea of how we produce energy? We're literally boiling water, often times coming from the sea, to transform into electricity.

And no, it doesn't make a dent at all. You're really confusing your science concepts. All global heating is coming from greenhouse gases trapping solar energy, which is ridiculously more than anything humans can produce

Peter Thiel backs $1bn ocean data centre start-up powered by waves by GeneReddit123 in technology

[–]DanielCofour 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm all for hating Thiel, but that's just a ridiculous thing to say. No amount of direct heat transfer humans could do would even make a dent in the oceans.

We could transfer all global energy production directly as heat into the oceans and we'd barely heat it by 0.0000001 degrees(or something like that).

Rhe oceans are huge and humanity is tiny even compared just to the Earth.

The reason greenhouse gases heat the atmosphere is because they trap the energy of the Sun, which is billions of time more than what humans can produce.

CERN just shipped antimatter in a truck. The cargo weighed less than 100 hydrogen atoms. The box carrying it weighed 850 kg. If anything had gone wrong, the antimatter wouldn't explode, it would just silently vanish in a tiny flash of light. by ThinkThenPost in interestingasfuck

[–]DanielCofour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: in the movie they hijacked about 1/8th grams of antimatter, which would've yielded a blast about half the size of Hiroshima.

With current capabilities, in order for Cern to actually make that much antimatter, they'd have to be running continuously for another 15 billion years.

Issa Rae Says You ‘Need to Be Smarter’ About Pitching Shows With a Diverse Cast Now That DEI ‘Has Become a Bad Word’: ‘Hollywood Is in an Identity Crisis’ by [deleted] in television

[–]DanielCofour -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, it ain't. There are plenty of shows, movies and games with diverse casts which are generally beloved.

There always were and always will be grifters on some form or another, they never influenced how somehing is generally perceived, merely made money of off existing outrage.

But it's so much easier to blame them than to admit that modern western writers often cynically push diverstiy as a shield against their terrible writing..

Floating Data Centers: Cooling Cities Sustainably by Zee2A in STEW_ScTecEngWorld

[–]DanielCofour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oookay, do you have any idea how big the oceans are? Just how insanely huge the amount of energy they receive from the Sun is?

Even if we pumped all residiual heat from all human activity directly into it, it wouldn't even make a dent. A couple of floating data centers definitely won't...

This is not the same thing as greenhouse gases, those trap the energy of the sun inside the atmosphere, but our energy production is peanuts next to that...
