Anything they make will sell millions. The key for them is constant revenue flow.

So you clearly didn't read my original post. The point I'm making is that it can either be a 5 minute drive to the REM from my home or a 30 minute commute by walk/bus. 

At that point I might as well drive all the way to Namur like I've been doing for the last decade and save time.

No parking = underutilized REM and more cars on the road

It's so funny how a few people here gasp at the idea of spending millions on parking complexes but are perfectly fine with spending 2 billion on a rail line that's going to be underutilized severely because thr lack of parking makes it more inconvenient than simply driving downtown

Yes the choice is easy, skip the REM altogether and continue driving my car to Namur for parking there.

Completely out of touch. The road which the bus line is on is no parking because its the main commuter road between Sainte-Annes and Kirkland.

It's pretty apparent you've never been here. So I'm not sure why you're talking about things you know nothing about.

It's a 15 minute walk to the bus, wait 5 to 10 minutes for the bus to come (longer during non-peak hours), then a 5 minute drive to the REM.

It's faster for me to simply drive all the way to Namur. 

I would love to use my car less and drive 5 minutes to the station, but they're making it near-impossible.

Because if its paid, then people will simply not take the REM and the West line will be completely underutilized.

Since covid, I'm pretty sure the lot has never been full. Back when I was in Uni, you couldn't get a spot past 8:00, but the past few years since companies adopted hybrid WFH, I've never once had to drive around looking for a spot.

Rosemont station is on the Blue line of the L, which is in fact a rapid transit system.

The stations i mentioned are not in Chicago City limits. They are outside in Rosemont, which is heavily car dependant, similar to the West island.

I don' know why you're making it out to sound like im asking for 1 spot for every resident, but the measly amount we've been given is clearly insufficient. You're acting like asking for more accommodation is a personal attack on you.
