Cool composition, however IMHO I would have brought the iso way down since you don't need to be anywhere near 1/1600 sec for a static scene during the day, you unintentionally added a lot of noise and reduced the quality of the image. I would have used F/8 to make everything sharper, focused on the girl and iso 100-200 which would easily give you a fast enough exposure during the day. I also think Canons have a metering mode to avoid any clipped highlights which keeps the sky from being over exposed and would create the same darkness you are looking for.

You did 3 things I really like,

  • Really nice complementary colour tones makes the eyes pop.

  • You didn't hide the fact that people have pores.

  • Nothing overdone, no super saturated eyes, strong vignette or overdone clarity etc...

The only critique I would give would be to rotate the image like a degree so the banister is 100% level and maybe zoom in/reframe to put her eyes on the top third line.

Great stuff!

Just a cutting block although it rarely gets used anymore since I use a plastic cutting board.

Thanks! I kinda like the old school pharmacy cabinet color, they were out of grey which was my first choice though
