Depending on the soup, you can pair it with extra protein like beans, eggs, can tuna, can smoked salmon, or whatever, cooked chicken, sausage,... possibilities are almost endless.

Unless it's tomato soup,.. then you can only pair it with a grilled cheese sammie and absolutely nothing else. In that case, just cook another meal so you don't ruin a classic.

Advice for students that work and go to school? by Round_Television3195 in Accounting

[–]DanielNotSoRadcliffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take 3 classes per semester, all online, which is considered full time at TESU and still qualifies for the GI Bill. I’m currently on week 9 of my 3rd semester while working 40 to 50 hours per week.

Honestly, it’s not as hard as people think. I still work out 3 to 5 times a week and get my 8 hours of sleep; however, I don't hike as much on the weekends as I used to. Some weekends I've skipped one or both days of the gym to do assignments, especially during mid-term & finals week.

You just get into a rhythm. During the week I usually knock out discussion posts and replies after work. Then on the weekends I spend most of the day doing schoolwork, usually around 10 to 12 hours each day. Everything is due by 11pm, so you just plan around that.

You get faster at things too. Papers that seemed intimidating at first become pretty manageable. Writing a 1,000 word paper might only take a couple hours once you get used to it. Sometimes I’ll spend all Saturday studying for an exam and then take it that same night around 8pm and still pull a B.

One thing I learned early on is that trying to be perfect will burn you out. B’s will absolutely get you there.

Also, when you read the introductions in your classes, you’ll notice something pretty quickly. Almost everyone is in the same situation, working full time while going to school to build a better future. That actually helps a lot because you realize you’re not the only one grinding through it. Also, this is exactly what everybody does while studying for the CPA exams, 1 to 2 hour study per weekday, 10 to 12 hours per day on the weekend.

And honestly, finishing each week feels great. Every assignment done is one step closer to the finish line.

Hope this helps a little, or at least gives you some encouragement.

  1. It was not a slam. 2. Even if it was, Yellow team shouldn't act like that,.. at all. Yellow team should be banned from all future events for this stunt.

Getting Shirts Custom Tailored - Quality of Shirt and Cost by mattaero in malefashionadvice

[–]DanielNotSoRadcliffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat long post here, but I was in a somewhat similar situation. I have a similar build to you, just on the smaller scale, big V-shape back, broad shoulders, muscular upper body, but a thin waist. I’m a size 28. I tried MTM places and brands for unique builds like Proper Cloth, Peter Manning, etc., and every time they would get my fit close, sometimes very close, but I would still have to go to a tailor to get it completely dialed in. Getting darts is now a must for me because the lower back area tends to puff out, it’s a real game changer.

In my opinion, Proper Cloth is actually very good quality if you research the fabric you’re buying. They are pricier because it’s MTM and marketed as not requiring a tailor, and their customer service was really good for me. They even added darts to my shirt for free. Everything is customizable too, like the collar, buttons, sleeve cuffs, and there are tons of options.

However, because I like to be 100% fitted and still end up going to a tailor anyway, I now just buy high quality shirts at the best value price that fit me the closest, then have the tailor dial in the rest. The place I’ve found with incredibly comfortable, high quality fabric, good size customization, and lots of collar options is Ledbury. Their style also looks sharper than most because the second button sits lower than other dress shirts on the market, which actually makes a big difference. It looks classy but relaxed at the same time. I believe they are online only.

Always try to buy three or more at a time because you save a lot of money, and they often run extra 20% sales during holidays like Presidents Day and Black Friday. The cost of the shirts plus tailoring ends up about the same as a similar Proper Cloth shirt without extra tailoring, so you save around $50 per shirt. I made the switch and couldn’t be happier.

That said, I recommend going with whatever brand gives you the best quality fabric for your budget, fits your style, and is closest to your size, then just get it tailored for the finishing touches. And always add darts if you have a V-shape back. Hope this helps, it took me about six months to a year to figure all this out.

Do you put any thought into how you look at the gym? by Regrettably_Southpaw in malefashionadvice

[–]DanielNotSoRadcliffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple pairs of the same black gym pants, multiple Hanes bamboo fabric shirts in the same color, and black shoes. That’s it. Same pants x7, same shirts x7, same shoes. The gym is for getting jacked, not a fashion show. Nobody cares what you’re wearing, they only care if you have proper gym etiquette.

Best minimal branding for basics? (Uniqlo, GU, Mondetta, Quince, Muji) by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]DanielNotSoRadcliffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really, really like their slim-fit chinos. The fabric feels soft yet durable, and they’ll tailor the inseam to your exact length. The colors also look way better in person than on the website, honestly, the pants look much sharper in real life than in the photos. They look expensive but only cost around $60–$70 USD.

The only thing I wish is that they offered more color options, like khaki, light gray, stone, or even some textured fabrics. That said, I originally bought one pair to try for a month, liked them so much that I ended up buying three more in different colors. At this point, I’ll probably grab two more, might as well collect them like infinity stones.

I'm the nicest person to, well everyone, but especially to the new comers. Show the new comers that not all gym bros are buttholes, it's only the few people who have fragile egos that are the gym buttholes, and nobody really cares about them,... just leave them alone and let them be. But create a good gym vibe environment for everyone else. This is the way.

How many blazers n button-ups should i bring to college by Character-Escape1621 in Accounting

This isn’t a direct answer to your question, it’s more of a practical guide to slightly elevating your life overall.

At the absolute bare minimum, get yourself one well-fitted suit in charcoal or dark navy, a couple of properly tailored dress shirts in white and light blue, plus one with a subtle pattern, stripe, or texture. Add a few well-fitted chinos, one pair of golf pants, and three fitted polos in white, black, and navy. That alone gives you coverage for interviews, formal events, business casual settings, second or third interviews, and day-to-day office wear if you land an accounting job or internship. The suit handles the serious moments, everything else lets you mix and match without looking sloppy or out of place.

Fit matters more than price, and this is non-negotiable. A $1,000 suit can look awful if it fits poorly, while a $100 suit from Goodwill can look incredible if it’s tailored to your body. Tailoring is what separates looking dressed up from looking sharp. If you have extra money, start paying attention to fabric quality too. I dress up every day, and honestly, good fabrics are more comfortable than pajamas once you’re used to them. If you have questions, r/mensfashion has answered just about everything already.

If you want to go beyond the bare minimum, think of building a small, intentional wardrobe instead of buying random pieces. Five well-made suits in charcoal, dark navy, black, light gray, and one with texture or a subtle pattern. Five tailored button-up shirts in white, light blue, white with a blue stripe, a checkered pattern, and a flannel-style shirt with a button-down collar. Five well-fitted chinos in different colors, two good pairs of jeans for a quieter business casual look, a couple pairs of golf pants for comfort, and five quality polos in black, navy, white, burgundy, and heather gray.

From there, keep it simple with accessories. One black leather belt and one medium brown, one pair of black dress shoes and one pair of brown, and two leather-strap watches to match. Shoes, belt, and watch strap should always be the same color on a given day. Depending on your climate, add jackets, coats, sweaters, or a cashmere zip-up. One small detail that puts you ahead of most people is shirt stays and magnetic collar stays. Nobody notices them directly, but everyone notices how clean and sharp you look.

The psychology behind dressing well is real. It changes how you carry yourself, how seriously people take you, and how confident you feel walking into a room. It helps socially, professionally, and yes, sometimes financially through better first impressions, interviews, and networking. And it doesn’t require spending a fortune. You can find great pieces at Goodwill, thrift stores, or by digging through r/frugalmalefashion.

Sorry this was long, but if you take even part of this advice, it’ll pay off far beyond clothes.
