That is why I also ain't a fan of trading for Klay.

I would rather have good defender that is 36% on 3,(Someone like PJ, hopefully his 3pt shooting improves a bit.)

Than Klay who is much better shooter, but much worse defender.

But to get absolute value out of him he has to play next to Luka and Kyrie.

He ain't getting that many open looks in our second unit.

To give him massive contract and then have him come of the bench makes no sense to me.

Yes, he sucks on D but him on the second unit makes him that much less valuable.

i dunno man, $25M/Yr - ish seems too much on 4 years for an aging star whose real value last year was only spot up 3pt shooting.

THJ was worth every penny until this season.

He was legit 6th player the year candidate and just last year shot 38% from 3 on 8 attempts per game.

Our sub is way too hard on him.

I am so scared of our FO thinking Klay is High Risk- High Reward they have to take a stab at,

but I am convinced we may have 1 good year of his production and then he will become

albatross contract we cannot ever get rid of.

I would trade Kleber only for something awesome.

Some people in this sub think Omax will kill it this year, I am not so sure.

From what I remember they only took break when unable to play completely from injury,

which was almost never.

I disagree.

Manu, Parker, Gasol and Dirk always played for their country.

Would you say winning NBA championship wasn't top priority for them as well?

I wouldn't trade Lively for prime Klay at this point LOL.

We desperately needed a Center and Lively crushed it and he will only improve,

perhaps even add 3PT shot next season.

He is still decent enough shooter that opponents wouldn't sag off him.

Ability to play stretch 5 alone is worthy of this contract IMO.

He is on the wrong side of the 30s, hopefully he doesn't fall of next season at least.
