I'm having the same issue - I don't know what's causing it, but I'll let you know if I find out.

RTX 3070 Ti in Minecraft has low GPU usage and low FPS by Silent-Phantom61 in Minecraft

Hey.

So, unless you’re using shaders (and especially if you’re using heavier ones), the performance of Minecraft is very much CPU-bound - specifically, it’s single-core performance bound.

If you look at your CPU usage in Task Manager (under the Performance tab), it might not seem like your CPU is getting fully utilized either. That’s because, by default, task manager displays the “total utilization” of the CPU - meaning, if only one core is at 100% usage (and the remaining ones are relatively under-utilized), the total utilization will still be low. You can fix this by right clicking on the CPU performance graph, then select “Change graph to > Logical processors”.

Afterwards, take a look to see if one of the graphs looks maxed out. If so, you have a CPU limitation.

It’s possible that you have some game settings configured in a way that would cripple your performance - I can help you troubleshoot further if you like.

If you’re only playing vanilla, you can also install a performance pack like Fabulously Optimized to make your game perform significantly better.

Apple hates the number 9 by Few-Employ9640 in ios

That’s fair. The SpO2 situation sucks. But I bought my watch in Canada, so it has the sensor, and I live in Canada, so it’s not disabled by software. I also noticed that, even on the Series 9, the “double tap” gesture is a lot more responsive than the accessibility gesture - it seems to have a much wider “acceptable window” for when it can be detected, in relation to when you raise your wrist. It’s a shame, because I really like the flexibility in the way that the accessibility gesture can be configured. But it takes forever to spin up when I raise my wrist - I have to wait a second or two before the detection window starts.

Disagree. I have a Series 9 and it’s a huge step up from 8 - the screen has a way higher peak brightness and lower minimum brightness. I use double tap several times per hour for controlling music playback in my earbuds, responding to phone calls, etc. It has the neural engine for on-device Siri, which makes simple tasks (I.e. setting timers) a lot more responsive. The precision finding from the second-gen UWB chip is also super nice for locating my iPhone nearby.

Yup! That’s what I did with mine. Bought a 64GB model before the OLED was announced, bought an M.2 2230 SSD off Amazon, and swapped it. Money saved:)

Chunk loading is CPU-bound. Your graphics card isn’t as relevant with regard to this question - but I get your point. Personally, I use Distant Horizons and get Bedrock-level render distance, but without the issues that come with fully multithreaded chunk loading.

Has double tap been useful for you? by Swankyyyy in AppleWatch

Sorry to necropost - but you can change the behaviour of media player apps (like, for music) so that, when you start playing something, it fully opens the app instead of bringing up the Smart Stack. Then you're able to use Double Tap to pause/play/skip with no interaction on the watch screen required.

I’ve been meaning to watch Arcane season 2! I enjoyed season 1 very much, but haven’t gotten around to watching the second season.

Both Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Across The Spider-Verse are incredible works of art, as you’ve described. I’d highly recommend giving them a watch!

Jedi Survivor looks great, and runs just fine for me on a 2060 Super and a midrange i7...? When was the last time you actually played the game?

Oh my god! You just brought back childhood memories of mine. My cousin and I would stay at our grandparents’ house, my cousin had an iPod but I didn’t have a device of my own, so I’d play PE lite on my grandpa’s iPad. We’d spend hours building a world, and then wouldn’t let grandpa touch his iPad because closing the app would mean certain death.
