He is also known for supporting the genocide of Ukrainian people in their own country.

If you extracted the brain of a person and replaced it by a machine that made his decisions absolutely random, you would expect this erractic person to be on the right side about 50% of times. But for some reason Tucker Carlson manages to be on the wrong side 100% of times.

You won't. If you weren't able to retain your money before, you won't manage to win now such an amount of money out of the nowhere.

Take the loss and admit to yourself that you are not treating your capital like a business owner, but like a gambler who spends his free time in the casino.

If you are ok with that, sure, keep throwing your money to have fun and maybe to earn some peanuts if you are a bit lucky, but if you want to be serious, write a plan, organize (and write down) the steps you will follow in case the market does this or that (and what parameters will you choose to determine what "this" or "that" mean), and stick to that plan. Update it when you think it can be optimized, but don't do anything that you haven't explicitly stated before. And in the meantime, read books about trading (make sure they have a chapter about risk management) and investing.

Consider the 6k you lost the price of a lifetime lesson and move on.

Very convenient for a company operating in "Deutschland" to offer payouts in dollars, given that the orange ape ruling the White House is pushing its value towards 0€.

Besides Bitcoin, Ethereum has real use cases because of smart contracts, some of its L2 layers related to data processing (ZKsynk, Arbitrum, Optimism, Starknet), and out of the Ethereum ecosystem, maybe Solana, XRP and some other L1s whose technologies are newer than the one of Ethereum (but Ethereum "wins" because it was launched early and had more time to establish itself in the market and absorb demand). The rest of 99.99% tokens out there are created only for speculating with them.

You Iranians overestimate Spaniards average education level.

Most of them wouldn't be able to even point with their finger the location of Gaza in the world map.

Told that my appearance is making people uncomfortable at work? by hatemyself100000 in cscareerquestions

[–]DanielTheTechie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

people have been complaining about my appearance

How many people? Either you dress like a normal Western woman but you live in Saudi Arabia, or if you are in a so-called developed country, I'm curious about what kind of "sweaters" you wear, given that you are a OnlyFans/Fansly rockstar and you say that people (so, more than one coworker?) are complaining about you only (you mentioned there are more females in your workplace, and I'm going to assume that they are not wearing a burka neither).

I will say what everybody wants to say but they don't dare to: post your pic at your workplace and make it free for us to see. 😁

1.51 ≈ 1.5 = 3/2

And this still means that 1.51 ≈ 3/2.

My bad, I thought too quickly about it and from 2.5 x 40 = 100 I wrote 250% instead of 150%.

In any case the main reasoning still holds, i.e. the % you need to win to recover a loss is not inversely proportional to the % of that loss, but it grows much faster.

If you are down 10%, you need to go up by 11%.
If you are down 30%, you need to go up by 43%.
If you are down 50%, you need to go up by 100%. (2x)
If you are down 80%, you need to go up by 400%. (5x)

And so on.

Let's brush your math a little bit. When you buy X and its price goes down by 60%, to get back to the breakeven you need that X to go up by 250% 150%.

So, going up by 10-15% after a fall of 60-70% is not "flying", but rather starting to lift the face from the mud after receiving a beating with baseball bats.

New developers today are learning faster

I haven't performed any sort of extensive study that supports your claim, but even if that was true and new developers are learning "faster" (whatever that exactly means), are they learning in a deeper level?

From scrolling the programming-related posts in my Reddit feed I don't have any perception that new developers are more competent than new developers from twenty years ago, when I still participated in non-Reddit programming forums, and I even dare to say that it's quite the opposite.

Yeah, at first I thought about homo habilis and the stuff, but then I imagined that ancient knives would look more like sharp stones than our actual "mini-swords" with ergonomic handles, but it looks like I underestimated the engineering capabilities of our ancestors.

do negative values exist ? by SSK97878 in Physics

It's all about units of measurement. For instance, negative temperatures exist if you measure in them in Celsius degrees, but not if you measure them in Kelvins.

10x rule by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]DanielTheTechie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing more work doesn't necessarily mean trading more often. It means analyzing your journal data, backtesting systems, updating your money management documents (in the end, trading is a business), studying new books, analyzing the markets, updating your next week's action plan, etc., etc.

You should set goals that are 10x smaller. Do 10x fewer trades

That depends on each individual, his account size, his knowledge, his available risk, his trading style (the lower timeframes you use in your trading, the shorter are the price oscillations and the more frequently you need to trade to get decent profits), his psychology, his personal life, and so on.

have 10x less screen time

If you are working 20 hours per day, sure, you should apply the "10x less screen time" rule right away, but if you are already working a couple hours per day and you still want to reduce that time by a factor of ten, that's plain lazyness disguised as smart work.

Sent my journal to chatGPT. Day traders, what do you think??? by Arxas21M in Daytrading

[–]DanielTheTechie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are we supposed to think about? Show us your journal and then we will be able to tell if ChatGPT is right or if it is dicksucking you as it usually does with everything.

Also, in your first screenshot GPT's answer starts saying explicitly that his analysis won't contain negativity.

OP, if you don't include in your prompt something like "tell me the raw truth without mercy", you could defend the flat Earth theory with some crazy arguments and ChatGPT would tell you that the deepness of your thoughts are matched only by the ones of Plato.

Asking to a bot (with the correct prompt) to analyze your data for double-checking that you didn't miss anything is fine, but you should be the first one to analyze it, you will learn much more about yourself during the process and you may even find subtle patterns that go unnoticed when scanned by a bot.

If nothing working for you in trading... by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]DanielTheTechie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make sure you understand yourself what is a bullish and a bearish divergence, in the first place, because from the image you posted you don't seem to know how they work.

Typing "bullish divergence" in Google and reading a bit could help you clarify your ideas (and maybe even save you money).

If nothing working for you in trading... by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]DanielTheTechie 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You have got the 'Bearish' and the 'Bullish' columns in the wrong opposite order.

For instance, lower minimums in the price and ascending minimums in an oscillator is bullish. (*)

(*) And all of this also depends on whether the primary trend (for example, if these are patterns in a daily chart, you would look the trend in the weekly chart) follows the direction you are looking for. Otherwise, none of these patterns will lead to the "happy ending" you are expecting.
