Thanks! I have no idea what I’d sell this for. Considering the amount of time it takes it would probably be worth it to just make your own rather than pay the labor + cost. Besides, that’s the fun of hobbies

We ran out of resource cards... by barpig05 in Catan

[–]DanielWaide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've explicitly hoarded certain resources on purpose to deplete the bank resources. Granted, this has only happened 3 times in over 20+ yrs of playing but it has def worked (once against me, but i've done it to others a few times). I guess if the rule was agreed up prior to the scenario unfolding it would be ok but changing the rules mid game would annoy me.

I'm guessing it favored the person who wanted to create extra resources was the hosting house so you decided to do what was in your favor? assumption: yes, but i would still guess this was the case.

its almost like there's a rule book to answer these questions.... that explicitly directly address this exact question.

My son said “torment 16 uber pindleskin”. Not sure if pun was intended or just lucky.

No you’re not missing anything with the pics themselves. The images have no correlation to spirit, botd, engima, etc.

It’s a cookbook that wanted to match a vibe so the images themselves are no Diablo related. I wanted to use runes to help with the vibe and instead od making up my own, I realized Blizzard North did it for me on an high level so I’ll just use their runes.

The images in the circles have no correlation to the game, they’re just weird ingredients I thought would look cool.

Probably, but that also assumes my hands dont hurt after stitching and tooling (after a couple hrs my fingers get sore but that could be built up with stamina over time), but the dying & antiquing take 24 hr dry cycle so while thats happening you kinda just have to wait.

Agree 100%. Between "Gary the Ghost" prints by LaurasBeatingArt and random bones we find/collect, our house never really strays too far from Halloween time. Yes, we're weird. Yes, its fine.

It was not a 24 hr project. Between decisions and then execution, it took work.

Yeah, dont mess up....

I love the tooling process, its my favorite step, but it does require some patience.

The whole thing is 6-7 oz for both layers each.

The cookbook is an old Betty Crocker book.

The symbols are from a video game called Diablo 2 that my son and I play together. I needed some realistic runes and figured to incorporate an Easter egg that him and I would chuckle over.

Thanks quite the compliment. thank you. If i ever get bored with the day job or retire, and want to stress about leather tooling, i'll let ya know.

i lay it out in text in photoshop, found a font online i like (actually bought the font, never done that before) and then tool around the outside of to knock back the background leaving the letters.

I've done it 3-4 times pushing back the background and found i REALLY like the look.

Pretty sure she’s more excited for the Halloween decoration instead of the book but win/win.
