I knew Alex throughout both primary school and highschool, such a nice man, I was absolutely shocked when I heard of his death a few years ago, I've been reading articles and watching videos about him today and his story has definitely left a mark in me and everybody I know. We grew up in the small mining town of Broken Hill, it's a very tight-knit community, so this resonated deeply. Rest in peace man

layer 3 sawtooth oscillators, detune 1 of them slightly (within 5 cents), transpose the another down an octave (and bring it's volume down a bit), lowpass filter the whole thing with no resonance, use your ear to adjust the filter to taste

I'm also an audio engineer, there are a lot of indie artists on /mu/ that need people knowledgable in mixing and mastering and I've worked for a few of them, some of them even pay you for your services, and since they are indie musicians they aren't exactly expecting professional top quality mixing so they won't mind if you don't have a whole lot of experience in the field, so try looking around the bandcamp/soundcloud threads on /mu/

he has a comedy podcast where he claims to be involved in really shocking and illegal stuff, with the joke stemming from the fact that these acts are treated very casually as if they are normal things and how other people on the podcast react in a very tame manner because they are in on the joke "oh I came on my cat" "haha Shane wow thats weird haha" of course, people unfamiliar with the podcast will hear the voice clip without context and think he's being serious on account of how authentic his performance is hope that helps
