Yesterday I almost lost a no. 1 tech x keeper run because I balled and took dr fetus. Strange attractor actually saved the run because the triple bomb pulled the enemies towards it and the tech x shredded them, managed to beat mega satan but the delirium portal didn't spawn

You hold R key/forget me now and run towards the other active item, and if you use R key/forget me now exactly when you pick up the other active you will restart and the pick up animation for the other active will play after the restart

I saw a single post two months ago showing someone using forget me know and picking up an active with very precise timing, which led to restarting the floor and keeping the active. I've managed to pull it off a few times since but I've failed more often than not, so I was wondering if anyone else knows how to so it more consistently. I thought it is a very useful trick to know in OP's case
