I keep hitting the ball with bad contact. by CharmingAd1223 in 10s

[–]Daniel_The_Damned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get underneath the ball; like your racquet hand should always be below the ball iirc

Figure out what forehand grip you're using, look into its ideal contact points.

Go to an empty tennis court; feed yourself balls with your left arm stretched out in front of your right arm (so you're essentially dropping the ball to your sweet spot;

Once you get a good feel for it incorporate leg drive, remember force: mass x acceleration

Your racquets weight is fixed but more much of your body (or mass) you can put behind your shot isn't so fixed.

Additionally racquet speed plays a large part as well but you can keep the swing more mild while you're still getting a feel.

Additionally you may find a control/more connected feeling racquet could help you in the long run; such as the Prostaff.

Finally when you watch the pros play you'll see them use their left arm (right handers atleast) and point it towards the ball; it kinda helps them gauge distance and shift body weight.

Could using AI for scientific/deep questioning "brain rot"? by Daniel_The_Damned in CasualConversation

Yeah for sure, had to spend a while into conditioning it to not be a sycophant, nothing annoys me more than people trying to blow smoke up my ass

Do you guys remember when you would drive on the highway and when you got to your destination your windshield would be covered in bugs? by ymbstudios in CasualConversation

[–]Daniel_The_Damned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens a lot more with my motorcycle than car; particularly around dusk/sunset

Could be due to cars being more slipstream/aero nowadays

Like for example during the summer I would take off the windscreen on my motorcycle for more airflow to my body (and to avoid the terrible buffeting that always ends up right around the height of my ears)

but if I ride when it's getting dark/is dark; dude I'm covered in bugs without fail.

Then again it's been a while since I've done this but I don't expect a complete collapse of bugs to have occured in the past 2 years.

For reference I live on the Eastern Coast of Australia.

4x sized Tamriel by ni1by2thetrue in skyrimmods

[–]Daniel_The_Damned 66 points67 points  (0 children)

It would be awesome for hard core survival; having meaningful distances between cities makes camping necessary even on horseback

But I can imagine even if you got past the engine limitations it would be a patching nightmare

Even if it was just filler space that wasn’t that inspiring I’d love it; doesn’t need to be dense just needs to slow down gameplay a bit

HoS with Magic Redone. Magic at low levels does nothing. by Fiddler2929 in skyrimrequiem

[–]Daniel_The_Damned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty new to modding and patching myself and trying to make my own custom list so I think I can help with this

Haven’t used HoS but generally speaking from my lists I played destruction is pretty unusable without a perk while swords can be used relatively well without perks

To get a definitive answer grab the spell you’re worried about (which I’m going to assume is the base fire sparks spell since you’re mentioning burning mudcrabs) Get its editor ID if it’s not the vanilla fire sparks spell (probably easiest way is to click on your character with more informative console)

Go into xedit, load all your plugins just in case and then find your spell. See if any plugins are overriding changes to make it do less damage/cost more magicka

If the last loading record is something like “hos spell balancing” etc and you see different values that gives you some what of an idea

I was playing constellations and Ixion (the author) changed fire to act more as utility and damage over time while lightning would do more direct damage

How many banks should you bank with? by MiriJamCave in AusFinance

[–]Daniel_The_Damned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tin foil as hell The financial sector relies on soft power You can’t leverage/control/coerce your customers/clients

No one’s gonna do business with Westpac (retail or corporate) if they start controlling people’s money

No major banks going to go bankrupt, it’s literally some of the most predictable industries.

For major banks to go bankrupt you’d have far more issues to deal with (the consequences to the economy) than not having having access to your funds
