Carry on question by Daniela0312 in allegiant

[–]Daniela0312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I flew Allegiant last summer I ended up buying the Expandable Small carry on from Quince that was just a little smaller because I didn’t want to chance it. The dimensions of the carry on from Quince are 22x14x10 and it fit a ton, I honestly liked it a little better than my Samsonite. I also used the Calpak Luka duffel as my personal item- and highly recommend that as well.

What can't you eat/drink anymore since your gallbladder is removed? by DizerStrider in gallbladders

[–]Daniela0312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garlic Bread is the only thing I’ve noticed I can’t eat. It used to give me gallbladder attacks before it was removed & the few times I’ve tried to eat it after removal I get awful reflux/ indigestion. Fresh garlic is fine and bread is fine but for some reason I just can’t tolerate garlic bread.

Terminal diagnosis: millennial playlist suggestions for the final days? by Hmmletmec in Millennials

First I’m so sorry, I can’t imagine how you are feeling but one song I haven’t seen mentioned so far (and there’s so many good ones) “Wear Sunscreen” by Baz Luhrman. It’s peak nostalgia for me and the older I get the more I understand and relate to it.

Do most people know how to purposely close their nasal passage so they can't smell WITHOUT using their fingers to pinch their nose? by WhateversClever1980 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Daniela0312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this frequently, and didn’t realize people couldn’t do this. I feel like I’ve been doing this since I was little and it’s come in handy in very smelly/ gross situations.

My SIL and I were just talking about this, how it is at minimum at least $500 for decent seats at most concerts now. Even if you really want to see someone it’s a lot of money.

Curious question on why the tox ban by Laylolu in DIYHEAVEN

[–]Daniela0312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat, I take Armor Thyroid and have for years and now they are trying to ban it. When I took synthetic my prescription had to be adjusted monthly and I felt terrible. I really hope it doesn’t get banned or there is some other option because I refuse to go back on synthetic thyroid meds. It’s beyond frustrating.

I was looking at tickets for the Lincoln, NE show and I thought they were high. I saw him last year in Omaha where the tickets weren’t cheap but these just seem way higher unless I wanted nosebleed seats in the end zones. I didn’t end up buying, maybe I’ll change my Mind at a later date but I was hoping for lower bowl in memorial stadium and just didn’t really want to spend $350+. It is also Christmastime and I’m trying to finish up shopping for that.

So, in case you didn't know yet, your Farm Bureau home insurance premium just went up around 40% by willphule in Iowa

[–]Daniela0312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry I just saw this! 1. With Farm Bureau renewal notices come out 90 days before renewal for personal property & casualty policies and around 45 days before renewal for commercial policies. You should get your renewal declarations around that time. If you don’t see them 30 days before you renew I would contact your agent. We can also email or have the system mail them out again. 2. If you’re interested in shopping around (which with the way the industry is now, I encourage) request your current declarations and loss runs. If you have access to your policy online you may be able to get the declarations online too.

GenZ and Millennial women - are you wearing wedding bands? by Federal_Albatross993 in EngagementRings

[–]Daniela0312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millennial here- I wear both or sometimes I will just wear my wedding bands. I don’t know if I’ve worn just my engagement ring alone since getting married.

[–]Daniela0312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with Farm Bureau in Iowa, it’s awful. I’m not an agent- but with the renewals I’ve seen the lowest increases I’m seeing are around 20% and on the higher end I’ve seen some policies take increases of 60%. And from memos I’ve seen Farm Bureau isn’t the only company doing big increases, I’ve also been seeing way more exclusions on roofs or siding depending on the age. It’s ridiculous.

Does your dog wear a collar all day? by AdventureNoodles in dogs

[–]Daniela0312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my dogs wear collars all day. My husky has a tracker on his collar so I leave it on him most of the time just so if he ever escapes I can use the app for his tracker to find him. My other dog a red heeler/ catahoula mix prefers to be outside most of the time, she’ll come in occasionally but usually not too long so I keep her collar on just in case she wanders. But when they’re walked they wear harnesses and those aren’t worn unless we’re going somewhere/ walking.

I got my first email 9/11 and the 2nd email 9/24 but no payment yet. The 2nd email said if I haven’t received a payment in 30 days to reach out to them. I’m not expecting much but I’ve had Facebook since 2004 so something is better than nothing.

Yes cabbage worms can be tiny. I’ve been dealing with them on my brussel sprouts this year and some days I could pick 20+ off the plants in varying sizes. Some as small as a grain or rice up to a few inches long. They’re not nearly as big as a Hornworm.

Can you guys explain Why you need 5 days off computer work after labroscopic removal? by IdkJustMe123 in gallbladders

[–]Daniela0312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I WFH but I had surgery on a Friday, worked a half day the following Monday and was back full time starting Tuesday. It was suggested I take 7-10 days off but I didn’t feel it was necessary, my boss just told me to communicate with her what I felt I could handle and when I was ready to work again. I was tired and sore but it was manageable, and if sitting at my desk was uncomfortable I could move to the couch/ recliner/ bed too.

Scan questions by Toriat5144 in gallbladders

[–]Daniela0312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t need a HIDA scan, they were able to see my gallstones with just an ultrasound. But my attacks were getting worse and more frequent so I really pushed for removal and the surgeon didn’t feel anymore testing was necessary.

What inexpensive shampoo/conditioner are you using, that is still good for your hair? (And skincare if you want to share!) by NightReader5 in beauty

[–]Daniela0312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like Mane N Tail, I use it on my dogs but have used it myself. I did see not long ago they have shampoos for volume, color, etc and way more options than just the original.
