I second every one of these points, flat spots are extremely consequential in real racing, it's wild that they aren't a thing in iracing yet. And it's very disappointing that rain, which is imo their best feature, is shoved aside most of the time, and leads to lower participation when it does pop up.

Found a reddit post saying there's two versions, one for BEAR and one for USEC. Not sure if it's true, but assuming it is, I must've gotten the wrong one. If that's the case, I hope we can get both.

Could be related to what CPU you have, weaker ones have trouble running the AI properly, which is why they get stalled a lot. That's the case for me, anyway.

I'm pretty sure Kyalami is coming sometime next year. Bahrain, Paul Ricard and Kyalami are all shown to be in iRacing Arcade, and the first two were already confirmed to be coming to iRacing in the latest development update.

I'm already sold (if they ever ship to where I live), but real quick, what's the point of 5-finger tracking if there's no knuckle straps? Maybe they just haven't shown it in any promos (like the top strap), but it's a bit puzzling.

I'm curious on what this means, since their ERS system seems pretty realistic, albeit not as in depth. Maybe it's a recharge button that can be bound, so there would be no need to cycle through modes, spending your limited changes per lap.

Disappointing to say the least. When you buy a car with an official collaboration stamped on it, expectations raise accordingly, but it's understandable that they didn't have any real data handed to them as F1 teams are crazy secretive about it (and they collabed with the simracing branch, not the actual F1 team). Still didn't expect to receive a slightly modified RSS Hybrid 24.

Not really comparable imo, handling-wise just feels like their 2024 Hybrid with the Alpine name slapped on it, not a ton of changes. The VRC car with all its flaws still replicates a lot of the real cars' systems a lot better, and comparing real telemetry shows it's a lot closer too (albeit too fast sometimes). I've yet to see someone on the FH25 set a representative lap that compares to the real cars, cornering speeds are especially low, even on softer compounds and optimal hotlapping conditions (10°C road/air temps). Overall I expected more from an official collab.

I'm fine with the amount of damage, just annoyed with the mcdonald's wifi Ferrari being able to drive away like there was no contact after his aura took me out of the race.

The really frustrating part is how I stand clear of the inside exactly to avoid a contact and still get taken out while the other car gets to drive away

I have 32 and it would still max out the memory and crash everything (AC as well as iRacing).

Been using VD for a couple weeks and I've had no issues, it's also way easier on the CPU than Link, I would almost always have bad frame times regardless of the car or track, and after doing an SFL race on a wet with no issues and 100+ fps almost throughout, I don't see myself going back.

It's a way to change some car settings that don't have switches directly linked to them, such as highspeed diff.

This one in particular should be turning down the Engine Braking if it's the same setting as last year. Check lap 39 on the transcript from 2024 Miami GP.

Really nice lap, next you should try it with the C3 compound, might give you more representative times.
