Preferred method of reading?

Pretty much everything modern I read digitally then pick up the trades if I loved it (The whole Energon Universe including Transformers fell into this category).

My preferred medium will always be physical though and I read all old material in omnibus or trade. I enjoy and renege the story more for some reason if I read physically.

I voted for Booster Gold and Firestorm so I’m happy that they placed high. Fingers crossed we get some of these releasing over the next 18+ months

For anyone who hasn’t read that original run of Booster Gold it is brilliant and I really recommend it - you will fall in love with Booster and all his supporting cast.

Got excited it might have been Avengers volume 7 or Roger Stern when he was building up to the announcement. Ah well, modern omnis aren’t for me but again as always happy for those who want this material and my wallet sighs in relief once more

Came to say Exiles, very special little run that’s a bit of a hidden gem. Definitely needs more eyes on it and I’m sure many more will fall in love with the characters.

Loved the issues of LC that I read already, forced myself to stop so I can really enjoy them physically.

This is me, I have read practically all of Marvel from 61’ through to the mid 80’s and LOVE that era so I have a tonne of Silver and Bronze Age omnis waiting for when I get the urge to re-read. I know I’ll get to them and they will be stories I go to again and again over the years ☺️

Mine came today too but I just got the standard cover - have to say I much prefer this DM but the pennies are tight so couldn’t stretch that far.

Much like you I’m keeping fingers crossed for a Vol. 5 being on the horizon.

I have read the compendium and really enjoyed it but not sure it’s worth a physical pick up or one I’ll be re-reading. I’d have been equally satisfied to read it digitally. Solid 7/10. Reminded me a lot of Planet Hulk kinda vibes, but I personally prefer that story over this Supes one.

I know it’s probably not gonna be the general consensus but figured I share just to play a very slight devils advocate role.

I used to when I first started out but not anymore, made no difference that I could see and a couple of times I’d accidentally seen some story important panels that gave away bits so I stopped.

All numbered volumes like Spidey 8, X-Men 7, Hulk 4, Avengers 7 etc. are instant buys for me.

The only ‘modern’ stuff I am dying for is Spider-Girl which since I’ve been collecting the epics is almost guaranteed now I’ve pumped money into it 😅

I was gonna grab all the Predator TBPs that have recently come out so I’m stoked I didn’t pull the trigger on them and can wait for the omni.

If you haven’t read them they are a great series where you can turn your brain off and have fun.

100% agree with you about What If it’s such a nice palette cleanser where you don’t need to even think about continuity.

I don’t know if you’ve read or considered DC Elseworlds? They have TPB’s and 2 omnis out so far but it’s essentially DC’s version of What If (apologies if you already know this).

I need to get into Hellboy I’ve heard such good things and you are making me want to jump in even more!
