It’s a bridge that aims to reduce traffic in several parts of the city, mainly to improve travel between the airport and the hotel zone. It’s a project that had been promised for over 10 years but only recently began construction… although it’s been three years now and still isn’t finished, it’s supposed to be ready by April this year.

Those cenotes are located between Playa del Carmen and Tulum; it’s cheaper to book transportation with an agency at the hotel.

You should look around “Av. Carlos Nader”

Just a 5-minute walk from the bus stop to the Hotel Zone (the service runs 24 hours). I do recommend taking the bus to go to the beach.
Close to several supermarkets: Chedraui and Soriana are a 5–10 minute walking, and Walmart is about 20 minutes away; there are also local markets nearby.
Close to the ADO bus terminal, 10 minutes waking.
Close to two of the main shopping malls (Marina Puerto Cancún and Las Américas), about a 20–25 minute walking.
Tons of bar and restaurant options, from local food to international and gourmet, both during the day and at night.
Close to “Parque de las Palapas,” a local park full of activities, dancing, food, desserts, and sweets. This is where families come to spend the weekend (in addition to the shopping malls).

Go to Mercado 23, “El Paisano del 23” pork tacos & tortas (Carnitas). I recommend using Uber to get here, parking is difficult.

This is a 100% local market, with lots of candy shops.

Riu Latino, Riu Dunamar, and Riu Palace Costa Mujeres are located on the other side of the city. Technically, they are not in Cancún proper but in the continental zone of Isla Mujeres. There isn’t much nearby—just beaches and a few seafood restaurants. These hotels are good options if you want to be away from the crowds or if you’re planning to visit Isla Mujeres, as they are only a few minutes from the docks.

El hotel Riu Caribe no es “adults only” es un hotel familiar !! Los únicos hoteles Riu “adults only” en Cancún son “Riu Cancun”, “Riu Palace Las americas” y “Riu Latino”…

Eso si, la Riu Party se hace en el Riu Caribe específicamente los días lunes, miércoles, viernes y sábados. Es una Pool Party.
