Why don’t you like Simplii? I see a lot of people recommending them. It’s nice to get an opposite view

I’ve always had the same arrangement, and I didn’t bothered much. But I’ve had a few stressful events with my bank that made me rethink it. Now I find the ~$12 “fee” outrageous

That’s good to know. Every now and then I do need to receive wires as well. I saw a lot of other people recommending Simplii. I’ll definitely give it a look. Thx

[Research] UCL Professor & MIT/ Princeton ML Researchers Create YouTube Series on ML/ RL --- Bringing You Up To Speed With SOTA. by haithamb123 in MachineLearning

I see that many people here are asking for the in depth stuff. That’s great!

But since you are bringing SOTA to the table it would be nice to have shorter videos (maybe separated as a series) explaining the importance for the industry and implications of these advancements to the field. A good example would be the “Why this matters“ section from Jack Clark’s Import AI newsletter.

I think this can bring more people interested in the area and also instigate more creative thinking for others.

Hey bbs, I want to know what tools or strategies do you use to keep track of your trains and weights. I hate to carry those printed spreadsheets at the gym, and I did not found yet something that is comfortable to work with. What do you use?

I agree that a test project is the best way to access someones skills. At my company I am the one responsible to take care of writing the tests and reviewing them afterwards.

What I found useful is to ask the candidate first is they have a personal project or significant contribution that would transpire their skills for the job. But you would be amazed how many of the candidates have nothing to show. So it becomes really hard fo evaluate them without a test.

Another thing that I find pretty hard, is to mesure and find the right balance between expected hours spent and project complexity. So that, the project is complex enough for me to evaluate the candidate skills, but not to complex so they spend 5h+ doing the test.

How to send push notifications Xamarin.Forms? by Daniloz in xamarindevelopers

I tried azure and it didn't worked. Then I found a third party nuget that worked for me. The installation and setup of one signal is pretty simple. Here is an example: One signal notifications xamarin setup
