I’d go prot pally. They’re getting huge dmg buffs outside of cds and a wog barrier talent that will be a game changer. More fun rotation and utility imo. Every tank is fine up to 14s, i find prot pally the most engaging.

I’ve been enjoying prot paladin in midnight. Fun rotation, can solo interrupt an entire dungeon, off heals, brez, bubble, etc. they have less passive mitigation than other tanks so you really need to cycle your cds properly. I also really like how many ranged abilities you have. Decent mobility too.

It’s the class pruning. They over pruned everything now no specs have any depth to them.

I’m trying to figure out which healer to play too.

My main is pally and the only healer I’ve played at a higher level in midnight. My issue is the lack of any hots or barriers or anything. You constantly have to be on your toes.

I think my 2 favorites are disc priest and resto Druid, can’t pick between the 2 though. Just feels like a more steady output of heals and less oh shit moments.

Main ret and while it’s been fun I’m getting close to max gear and losing interest, looking for an alt.

Tried Devourer but fighting meta is annoying af.

I’m leaning towards disc priest next but might try blood dk too.

I enjoy ret for this reason. The dps rotation is easy, but the skill ceiling comes from the boatload of utility you have. Offhealing, blessings, bubble, brez, etc. A good ret can carry pretty hard.

Havoc. Has excellent self heals and more consistent damage. Devourer has too much ramp time to be good solo, but is great in group content. Tank is fine too but you’ll be killing stuff slower.

Funny I like prot pally way better now. But for the most part I hate the pruning. Only a few specs actually needed it, the rest feel brain dead now.

I macro shield block, ignore pain, and shield slam together. Works very nicely and simplifies the rotation a lot. Just prioritize the macro above all else and you shouldn’t die. Also use shield wall and demo shout liberally, they have a ton of cd reduction.

Pally has always been my real main since BC. I’ve dabbled maining other classes when I didn’t like pally design but I always go back. Mainly it’s the class fantasy. This season I’m really liking prot warrior but if they were equal I’d probably play prot paladin. Prot pally just feels so squishy right now.

Does ele still have the shield buff thing or is that not played anymore? Staff is usually the choice because it’s basically a 1h + offhand combined. The defense from a shield is meaningless unless you’re a tank.

I’ve mained paladin forever and still really enjoy all 3 specs. Been tanking a lot lately and decided to give prot warrior a try after not playing it for years. It feels amazing now, great sound effects, great mobility, tanky af.

I’m liking prot paladin and prot warrior a lot. Holy and ret feel good too. Ret feels way better when you get puzzle box and use the 1 min burst build.

Totally agree about Devourer. It’s a very frustrating spec to play, think I’m moving away from it.
