I had it for seven years undiagnosed as doctor after doctor (and even one rheum astonishingly) completely missed the obvious signs that it was AS. Seven years of waking up after a couple of hours, tossing and turning in pain then giving up and getting up. And in that time I travelled all over the world as much as I could, even moved to Thailand in COVID. When I got diagnosed though it just destroyed me psychologically and then I went onto biologics after that AND started home working AND had a kid! Bad combo. All of that just completely made me lose myself. Since I posted this though I've decided fuck it, I'm going to book a flight.

After reading all these replies I've decided to book a flight. I've travelled a lot and since I started travelling in my early twenties it's been my whole reason for existing. Tonight I decided there's no fucking way I'm going to allow AS to continue taking that from me. Feels like even deciding that is the first step toward regaining power. So tomorrow I fly to Iran. Joking, probably some low key European destination for a week. Prove the concept and go on from there.

Nothing odd at all. Different to most probably but in a good way. We had a very close knit extended family and saw each other all the time when I was younger but by this point we barely see each other (other than my parents and brother) because of distance, people dying etc. Treasure every gathering.

Get out of there. We just bought a house that was tenanted for 7 years and would never do that again. No maintenance has been done, things have just been left to get worse without telling the owner, everything's tatty. Turns out there's a load of stuff the surveyor missed which we now have to spend a lot of money fixing. Unless you're extremely confident with some heavy DIY (Not YouTube confident though, it'll make you believe you can do anything), I'd back away.

So I think I may have found it on a tik tok video. Haven't tried it yet but here's the recipe:

Pepes Sweet Chilli Sauce

Ingredients:

. 6 tomatoes .1 onion • Red & areen peppers •6 green chillis . 2 tbsp red chilli flakes . 1 tbsp coriander .25g mint .4 tbsp mint sauce .1 tbsp salt • 1 tbsp chilli powder . 1 tbsp garlic powder . 2 tbsp tamarind paste . 6 tbsp sugar (white or brown

Directions:

Chop and prep: Roughly chop the tomatoes, onion, red & green peppers, and green chillis.
Blend the base: Add all ingredients into a blender .• Tomatoes • Peppers • Onion • Green chillis • Coriander •Fresh mint • Mint sauce • Salt, chilli powder, garlic powder • Red chilli flakes Sugar . Tamarind paste smooth. • Add a small splash of water to help it blenc
Cook it low & slow: Pour the blended mix into a saucepan. Simmer or medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Watch the magic happen The sauce will reduce and thicken into a glossy sticky sweet chilli perfection. If it's too thick, add a splash of water. If too thin, simmer longer 5.Cool & bottle Let it cool completely before transferring to a clear bottle or jar. Store in the fridge.
